Superb indoor cycling shoe.
Light weight but good stiffness. Strap holds my foot well. Cleat attachment is very solid. Looks great, sleek and modern.Update after using a few months. I do a spin class about 4X per week. Best cycling shoe I've owned. I do wish the Velcro strap allowed for an even tighter fit. I have small, narrow feet and I like my shoes on tight. This is the shoe to beat, IMHO. Thanks Shimano.

A comfortable and stable fit
I recently purchased a pair of cycle Spd shoes and I must say, I am thoroughly impressed. The fit is comfortable, even for someone like me who wears a size 9.5 Wide. I opted for the size 44 and it was the perfect choice.I use the Shimano SPD cleat set with these shoes and they work extremely well together. Clipping onto the pedals has provided me with a much smoother ride and I can definitely feel the targeted muscles working as I cycle. After 6 indoor rides using three different types of bikes at 3 different gyms, I can confidently say that these shoes have exceeded my expectations. I am extremely happy with my purchase and would highly recommend these shoes to any cycling enthusiast.

Well made, indoor friendly
I've found shimano shoes to be about a half US size larger than claimed in men's sizes. This is also true for the SH-IC100. In rstreet shoes, I wear a 9 1/2 US. In Sidi, 43 1/2 EU. The SH-IC100 fits perfectly in the "US 8.5-9" The insole is marked "43" in this shoe. The ventilation is about as good as you're going to get in a road shoe. Mesh upper, plenty of holes on the outsole. The insole is also perforated. Unfortunately, the insole is completely flat so I swapped these for my preferred budget custom insole (green Specialized Body Geometry). That is not perforated so will block the airflow from below. But, to be honest, you'd have to have a dedicated fan on your feet to actually achieve airflow on the feet. The ankle area feels more like an aqua sock than a bike shoe. Very flexible and comfy. The sole is plenty stiff. A bit more like a MTB shoe than a road shoe but fine for indoor training. Strap system is of course not as tuneable as a more complex sitem with 2 or 3 separate adjusters but fine for this purpose. The secret here is that if the shoe fits you in the first place, you don't need a half a dozen straps, rachets and wires to get it adjusted.I suppose you could wear them outdoors but the bottom does not have the typical grippers front and back so not ideal. They do not come with cleats but are threaded both for SPD 2 bolt and SPD-SL (Look) 3 bolt.

Lightweight Cycling Shoes -- Run Small...
Although these RUN SMALL... these Shimano shoes are - Very comfortable - Easy to adjust - a HUGE improvement to my cycling comfort!Indoor cycling with standard shoes, or house shoes, or barefoot... was just NOT cutting it.I knew I needed some shoe design that would - Fit into my Toe Clips - Slide ON and OFF easily - Feel Comfortable whilst riding - be perfectly compatible with my riding styleAnd sure enough these shoes FIT the BILL!The only two concerns I have are minimal, and unrelated to normal use: - They DO RUN SMALL... so you might consider going to the NEXT SIZE UP. - They're very slick on the bottom, so I have to be careful on some carpeted and esp hardwood steps! - If toe-clips should slip off, it would be very hard to keep these shoes on the pedals! - The cats think I'm a stranger/intruder, walking on wood floors with these shoes' *clack, clack, clack*!

Second time I’ve purchased these
I have a wide toe box and although these aren’t marked as wide, they are wider than most cycling shoes. I use them with look delta clips for my peloton bike. They’ve worked very well for me (both pair!).

Good fit
These are my first pair of cycling shoes. I will say they fit good and definitely make a difference in my workout.

Nice but not as comfortable as I would’ve hoped for and a little more flexible than I would like.
I purchased a few different shoes to try with our new peloton and well I like these they just didn’t fit nearly as well as the less expensive version of the same brand. The RC 100 was less expensive but I thought a much nicer and more comfortable fitting shoe.
