Entertaining and educational!
The Big Book of Infectious Disease Trivia is not only an easy way to learn more about the current pandemic, it's an entertaining quick read with such interesting information, you'll keep turning the pages to find out more. For example, I never knew that biological warfare was being used as early as 1155, and then in 1495, the Spanish were mixing the blood of leprosy patients into wine and selling it to the French. Gross, but fascinating! Also, did you know that deforestation can contribute to the increase of infectious diseases? I didn't, until I read this book. With so much misinformation about viruses and pandemics swirling around these days, it was comforting to see that the author of this book has done her research; the bibliography is more than 25 pages long! Quite impressive!

Entertaining. Informative.
A fun, interesting, and insightful look at the history of infection, without the droning of academic writing— though the writer provides her extensive list of references for those that enjoy that! This book is clearly research and fact based writing, while also entertaining. There are so many interesting and fun facts without losing touch of the seriousness of the topic or the times.

Epidemics Expertly Explained
This book was incredibly interesting and gave light to things we, as a society don’t often think about. Very timely as well, and puts a lot of things into perspective.

Fascinating!
Could this be any more timely?? Super interesting trivia written in bite-size Q&A format, and it manages to be both easily understandable (I’m not a medical person) and to teach me so much!
