Eden Foods, Certified Organic Hacho Miso, 12.1 oz (345 g)

I am not one to complain too often but feel I have to warn any potential purchasers of this product. Taste of this Hatch Miso from Eden is not normal, long term contact with plastic wrapping may be contaminating product. The product looks to be high quality but the taste has an abnormal chemical taste when compared to a similar product that I have eaten for years. Concerned that this product could cause cancer and recommend that miso lovers get their product from Eastern Sun, a US Manufacturer who has a similar product called "Country Barley Miso". If you order in bulk, the price would be less expensive than this product sold on Amazon and they have quality pledges that are clear and in my opinion accurate. They also ship the product in a plastic bag for over 4 lb, but you should take it and put it in a glass container immediately after receiving. The taste is much better for Eastern Sun's miso (no chemical after taste) and so am not as concerned about getting cancer from plastic contamination.

This is a very strong, dark red miso paste. It really makes great soup. One hint; it comes in a plastic wrapper within the outer package. I’ve found the best way to dispense a portion is to use a sharp knife. Remove the miso in its plastic wrapper from the outer Re-sealable packet. Then slice through the inner wrapping, cutting off the amount of Miso you need. Then the remaining miso pops back into the outer packet easily.

I can’t say enough of this product!! I love it! I drink it in the morning instead of coffee with better energy results.. Also have them for lunch or dinner with lots of veggies and buckwheat noodles.. delishhhh . I will order them again and again . Highly recommend

This has a sodium content similar to low sodium soy sauce but it has a really good Unami flavor. I prefer it over low sodium soy sauce.Mixes nicely into sauces

This is great hacho miso. It's got a really rich, earthy flavor. Less salty than shiro. It's the secret ingredient to perfect vegan copy cat KFC gravy, among other wonders.
