Margo Garden Products 2-5" 30lbs Rain Forest, Pack of 1, White

The photo of products had Me excited to receive these smooth white rocks. Very disappointed. Nothing like what I expected. They are covered in flour like substance and once it's washed off they are yellowish not smooth at all rocks.

I'd give these rocks 5 stars, but some were broken when I opened the box. Regardless, it's an absolutely stellar deal and I love that there are a variety of sizes in the box. Some are small (2-3 inches) and some are really big (4-7 inches). I didn't buy these for my zen garden or backyard or something, though. I bought these to paint and hide in the city I live in. If your city doesn't have something like this then start a Facebook group and make it happen! It's a lot of fun. For anyone buying them to paint, they do need to be washed first, FYI.

I was surprised at how many there were! I got the 30 pound package and there were 130 stones. Very smooth, some flat, some more rounded. I got them to paint on and I think they will be great for that. Lots of different sizes included. Only one arrived broken. Colored whitish light gray.

I ordered 4 bags at a great price compared to all others and I AM IMPRESSED - I saw other reviews complaining of the size of rocks and some broken so I made sure to pay careful attention and take photos which I have included for this review. First - each was packaged identical and weighed 30 lbs. 2. each bag included rocks as described 3-5 inches however there were larger ones and smaller ones included - and this could be done to reach the approiate weight. I didn't find it was so much that it was done intentionally. It's rocks and there are no 2 alike. 3. I only had one tiny rock that was actually broke out of 120 lbs. so you can see how I would be thrilled. Many people wrote that they were using them to paint on - and I agree - these would be great for that because most are very smooth. I had a few that had indents - looked like a fossil but most were as smooth as a baby's butt. I used these for my garden around my pond. I sprayed them down first because of the white powder substance so these pictures show them after that - they are beautiful and when I complete my garden they will look like they belong around the pond (still working on it). I hope this review has helped many - I'm about to order more bags because the price and quality is excellent. (PHOTO 1 is what the bag looks like when removed from box--PHOTO 2 is 1/4 of the first bag I opened and grabbed rocks from.(I show the only colored rock in all 4 bags that I received) I only had a dishwashing scrubber nearby to use as a size reference. The scrubber is 3x4". You can see the large size and small sizes of rocks- PHOTO 3 is a total of 3 - 30 lb. bags after I rinsed them with water. PHOTOS 4 & 5 are pics of the rocks I just placed around the pond - I'm still working on it but it shows how they look close up and from a distance

I ordered these for painting. So, so disappointed. The size, the shape, the quality. These rocks were 100% disappointing. I’m still in disbelief these were so improperly represented by seller. Save your money.

Based on the photo, I thought I was getting nice, even round stones on which to paint. However, the stones arrived with some broken, many very large and NONE of them nice even round stones. See photo. Very disappointed. And they are white only because they are covered in a white powder. Once that's washed off, they are beige.

I ordered these rocks about a year ago and they were beautiful white smooth polished stones of various sizes. They were perfect for their intended purpose...which was rock painting. I just ordered these again and they are most definitely NOT the same rocks. These are lumpy, bumpy yellowish rocks that someone apparently tried to make look smooth and white with some sort of filler/finisher. The inside of the bag and all the stones are covered with a white powdery substance, that is sort of the consistency of dried paste. If you put these in water, the white gluey pasty stuff comes off and you are left with a yellow bumpy rocks. Someone is trying to pull a fast one. I wouldn't even use these for outside landscaping purposes, because the first time it rained you would have the same result. Extremely disappointing.

My rocks arrived in two days via UPS, and overall I was quite pleased. The bag seemed small to be 30 pounds so I brought out the bath scales and weighed them (see pic), they weighed 26.5 lbs... close enough. They're nice size mostly - far bigger and prettier than anything I can get in my area in Kentucky. There's a total of 27/28 in my bag (see pic), it looks like two pieces are actually one broken rock, and two of the pebbles are slightly chipped on one side, that's no big deal to me I didn't expect perfection for $10 of 30 pounds!! They're very powdery, underneath a very light grey color. My phone in pic is iPhone 6s for size comparison.
