You can reuse these a couple times, price was great and they don’t snag my hair

Kitsch no-snag hair ties: a nice quantity for the price. There’s definitely a stretch. The elastic is good so I’d see very little snapping. Different size ties are in the bag. My purpose was to take pieces of my hair & tie it up & out of my face. My picture reflects the ties & the tie in my hair. I have wavy hair which isn’t considered thick. For my hair, in which you see, these ties SNAG. It takes patience to get the tie up with all my hair in place because they are so small, which I’m fine with. The main issue is taking them off. It’s literally impossible to slide these off my hair. Even if I untie the tie it doesn’t slide off, it snags my hair which causes hair loss. These would be perfect for someone with fine, straight hair. Using these for braids would be good. If you’re looking to put up ponies with these with my similar hair, you’ll struggle to get them off. I wanted to love these so much. I feel the small cloth pony tails are probably the best to find. The elastic nature is what causes the snagging. This is my personal experience. Used these to help attach dreadlocks. I love them. Three different sizes. Didn’t have a single one snap. And they aren’t sticky like normal rubber bands so they don’t hurt taking out.

So these are good for pony tails, not so much for braids. They are too big and too thick for braids.

These have decent stretch and really don’t pull hair out as much as the older style tiny elastics do, although they still do pull some. However, I was able to reuse the older elastics quite a few times before they would snap, if I was careful about how I removed them. These stretch out of shape on the first use. This makes them far less of a good value, and since they are plastic, it’s not very environmentally friendly to have one-use plastic hair bands. I will probably just go back to doing hairstyles that don’t require such small hair bands.
