Original grates were porcelian covered and started to degrade after four or five years. Bad enough this year I decided to replace them. I seasoned these cast iron grates like my cast iron pans and they have proven virtually stick free. Easy to clean and sturdy enough I don't worry about them bending. I'm very happy.

perfect fit. Will work well. Gave 4 stars as it states they are porcelain coated. these are not coated. Needed so i used. Still a good value. When you look at the pictures, there are 2 different styles. One porcelain coated, one not. Need to clarify or remove "porcelain coated" from description. porcelain coated are more rounded. I thought these would stick considerably as they are bare cast-iron, but then I remembered my cast-iron pans do not stick once coated, so I make sure to spray or put some oil down...and nothing sticks to them, nothing any worse than before.If you are reading this, you might want to find an alternative with Porcelain if the price is comparable, but I'm happy with them as they are.

These grates are NOT porcelain coated. They are simply bare cast iron. With degrees from Georgia Tech in both ceramic engineering and metalurgy I can easly see that this is bare cast iron.

Great instead of having to replace grill, we were able to just replace the grates.
