I was wary of this purchase due to the reviews with complaints about what happens to the bags after washing and drying, but after a thorough search still felt these bags were my best option for the price - especially because I did not want white or cream bags (I purchased gray). They arrived with a card with washing instructions, which I followed exactly except for the guideline to "wash separately". Initially I washed only one bag, still apprehensive about what might happen. I included it in a small load of other laundry and used a delicate, cold cycle. Then I dried it for 20 minutes on low, still with my other laundry. It came out a bit wrinkly, but nothing like the photos in other reviews, and it responded perfectly to ironing. The only difference from the pre-washed version is that it shrunk about 1/2 inch in the height and 1/4 inch in the width. Otherwise it is perfect and ready to have vinyl added and turned into a gift! Do note that these are very simple bags. Nothing fancy. No pockets and fairly thin, but perfect for my purposes!
