Perfect substitute for the original Vivaldi S1 timer
If you're a Vivaldi S1 owner, you know the original external timer that was available cost about $200. I have a Vivaldi II and bought the external timer over 14 years ago. It worked pretty well, but after all these years, the LCD screen was starting to degrade, so I began looking for a replacement (very hard to find now and still $200) or a more modern "smart" solution. I stumbled on this little device and thought I'd give it a try. So far it's working perfectly! Here are some notes to help you make a decision about adding this to your machine.1. The installation video for this product shows a cable in the machine where you can attach it. However, I had no such cable. I bought my Vivaldi II with the timer already installed--and I found it was plugged directly onto the circuit board inside the electronic control box deep within the machine. The receptacle on the circuit board is male. This new device is also a male connector. I tried looking for an adapter, but my frustration level was peaking. At that point, I nearly sent the device back to Amazon. But then...2. I opened up the original timer itself. The cable for the timer was plugged onto a male receptacle on the timer circuit board. Could it have been that simple?? I unplugged it from the board and connected that female end to this new device. I plugged the machine into a smart outlet and voila! It worked. Now I can easily turn the Vivaldi on/off with voice commands or with a set schedule using my smart device ecosystem.3. A NOTE REGARDING SMART PLUGS - I've always used my Vivaldi in 20A mode, but struggled to find a 20A smart plug that would work without adding a new and separate hub to my smart system; most are 15A. I did find one made by Swidget that might work, but the 20A outlet and required smart insert runs about $100. So for now I'm running the Vivaldi in 15A mode. I'm a light user, so I haven't been bothered by this change.Bottom line: The device works as advertised, you just might need to have a little know-how to integrate it into your machine and/or smart device system.

Better than expected.
Very easy to install if you have ever taken any of the siding off of a La Spaziale and have a snipper for cutting Zip-tie. I didn't even realize what a hassle it had been always trying to turn the machine on before I got up, now it just warms up for me. I was also concerned about switching from 20A to 15A, but it doesn't seem to be a problem at all. I also set it up so I can say "hey Google, turn off the coffee machine". Probably the most difficult issue will be (as it was for me) setting up whatever smart switch you wind up buying, but this little device is perfect.

Works perfectly, but could be better
If you have a Vivaldi, you know that the factory timer add-on is totally pathetic. I finally decided to get this. But, what is it? All it does is, when power comes on it sends a turn-on command to the Vivaldi. Well, ok, but there are plenty of solutions for this online. But, they involve modifying your machine. So, you get a plug-and-play solution for about 10x what the parts would cost for the DIY version. And note you need a smart plug to actually schedule turning power on and off. Seems absurd that the thing clearly has some intelligence, they should have added a web intf and scheduling directly in the dongle. All that said, I'm pleased with the end result. I use it with a Kasa smart-plug, just works.

Easy install, works as promised.
Got this for a Clive Coffee LUCCA A53, which is their version of the Vivaldi S1. Install was straightforward as shown in the seller's video and it performs exactly as described, defaulting the machine to on when power is applied. I use it with a TPLink smart switch and Kasa/Alexa schedule so the machine is ready to go in the AM and powered down in the evening. Others have already noted that it's a bit silly we need an accessory to accomplish this function in the first place, so I won't harp on that. I got a second machine (direct plumbed this time), so I'll be ordering another one of these! The only downside to this smart switch setup, as someone else pointed out, is that if you want to retain 20A power you also have to find a smart switch that can handle 20A. That said, the Clive units are limited to 15A internally anyway, so it's moot. And if you are putting your machine on a schedule to warm it up ahead of time, that pretty much negates the main benefit of 20A (faster warm-up time) anyway, unless you also need the extra juice to pull shots nonstop.

OK solution
This Product does exactly what It says it does. I will cause the machine to turn on when it is connected to an outlet. you still have to get a "smart outlet" to actually use as a timer. I went through the headache of actually getting and installing a 20 smart outlet and have it all working. Alexa turns on the machine and has it all ready to go about a half hour before I roll out of bed.

A simple solution to an unnecessary problem.
Why in the world did La Spaziale decide to have the machine default to Standby mode when powered on? I am not sure. That decision is what prevents the simple use of a smart plug with the La Spaziale. Of course you can buy their $200 timer, but that this is overpriced and ugly.In comes this device. Its function is simple. When the machine comes on, it switches from Standby mode to ON. This means a smart switch with a scheduled on/off will allow you to turn on your machine before you wake up, giving it time to warm up.Prior to this I left my Vivaldi II on 24/7. Now I have it on from 6AM to 3:30PM. Hopefully this saves me a fair amount in electricity. Also, you don’t need a smart switch. Anything that turns the power on/off will work. This includes those old fashioned mechanical timer switches.Anyway, this is a very simple and clever solution to a problem that shouldn’t exist to begin this. If you have a La Spaz, you should get this.

Works Lawlessly
This adapter install very easily and works flawlessly. I installed it on La Spaziale Mini Vivaldi II, which is plugged in to a smart plug. Every morning I wake up to a fully warmed up machine ready to pull a perfect shot. Even though the La Spaziale Mini Vivaldi II has a user fast warm up time about 10 min, it is usually better to wait about 20 min or so to get everything including the portafilter nice and warm. There is the added benefit of being able to turn on the machine remotely from the phone prior to coming home. The fact that this adapter is very convenient and super easy to install makes it a no brainer. I highly recommend it.

Doesn’t work.
I am very disappointed. This is not working on my Vivaldi S1. I saw some review claiming that it is working, try all that I saw on videos, but it simply star the machine power on, not actually heating the tanks. The suport is non existent, and instructions incomplete .Mane others to be lucky, but I am disappointed. Unfortunately the return period passed while trying all kind of solutions.
