The unions came packed 4 to a box and surrounded by foam cushioning. I was very surprised to see this level of packaging. The units were pretty clean, meaning not much in the way of oils, but I wiped them down for my application. Will definitely order these again.

The cast iron union fittings worked as designed. I did not test for gas or liquid containment as they are designed for structural support over containment. These fit the appropriate pipes and allowed connecting a rectangular support for my project. Recommended.

Unfortunately, they leak. I had bought 4. Noticed they are not as heavy duty as the ones u buy from a plumbing store. Installed them on two different gas lines (natural gas) and they both leaked instantly. Went ahead and Threw them all away. Can’t take a chance with gas. Gas is dangerous

Great value for Steampunk projects. I wouldn't recommend for true plumbing applications. You need a beefy flange that can withstand the torque of a pipe wrench. I attached a photo of a 3/4" union that I had in my plumbing box, in comparison to this union.

These will work but there’s a noticeable difference in quality between this and what I can purchase locally. These are a little smaller in size and not as thick as what I would find locally. This definitely falls in the category, what’s your comfort level.

These unions are needed anytime you want to complete a loop with black pipe. Fits very well and the threads are nice and clean for easy turning. The material is more durable than other black pipe I've ordered online and you can tighten with pliers without scratching too bad.
