Good stuff
I've used the putty for over 20 years a bit heavy but strong be sure to stir & mix it a lot.

Excellent
I've been using this product for a few years now with excellent results. Some of the reviews are puzzling and quite contrary to my experience(s).The one comment about not 'stacking' the blended compound on your pallet IS accurate based on my experiences. Heap mixed QuikFair over one inch or so and it will probably fire much quicker than you expect.Temperature does seem to affect time to full cure, or at least to machine sandable state, but QuikFair has never failed to cure properly (eventually) for me even when getting a bit inaccurate on the mixing ratio.Perhaps mixing by weight (100/44 ratio) rather than volume would work better for some folks? That's my method as mixing directly on the pallet is easier, quicker, more accurate and results in less cleanup.I typically use a 12x12 piece of painted flashing metal for a pallet because it is relatively cheep, semi-disposable and cleans nicely. All you need to do is tare the pallet on your scale, add desired amount of part B (the white stuff) multiply the part B weight by 3.27 for your target weight and add part A (the tan stuff) until you reach that target weight.Example: 100 grams of part B100 x 3.27 = 327 grams target weight, so you're adding 227 grams of part A (227 + 100 = 327)Edit: Note that 327 grams of mixed product is a LOT to deal with, and it's likely you'll have trouble getting it spread before it fires and becomes useless... Ask me how I know. You might start out with 44 grams of Part B and 100 grams of part A, that's usually just about right to use up before your pot time expires.Again, I've never had an issue with hardening even when over the target weight by a few grams. As far as working with QuikFair goes, it spreads nicely, goes a long way, does not sag on vertical surfaces (in my experience) and sands nicely by hand or with line or vibrating sanders. If you've never used fairing compounds, do yourself a favor and research before diving in. Fairing a boat surface is NOT a 'one and done' process and you usually need to figure on at least three application/sanding cycles to get a decent surface.Or maybe I'm just OCD. :-)

Really good
Don’t use Total Boat cr@p. This one is so much better! Smooth, mixes well, yes, sands a bit harder, but it’s so much stronger. I mix it by weight - super easy and precise (Mix Ratio By Weight: 100:44), so I take 100g of Part A and 44g of Part B. If I need less I go - 50:22, 25:11 or more 200:88, etc. My favorite faring compound now!

QuikFair fairing compound review
This stuff works fine. I've been using it at work for about 3 years now. It takes longer than Bondo and standard wood filler epoxies to set, so you have more time to work with it. It will set hard in a day and you can sand it easily.

Smooth
Mixes easily. Buttery smooth and spreads easily. Moderately easy to sand.

Super easy to apply, sands well, fair pricing...
Easy to mix, apply, and sand. Used various sanders and cheap sanding discs on our orbital sander and all worked well. Definitely helps to wait a little longer if it gums up your sanding pads at all. Followed instructions and it came out well. Nice that it doesn't smell as compared to other polyester resin based products. We read the review about it needing to be applied on the thicker side to get it to cure properly but we didn't really have any issues. As with any kind of fairing you MUST prep the surface well first - that's usually the issue if we find problems with curing. Good luck!
