Good story
Got this as a gift for my mother's birthday and she loved it. The story is written very well. A great book overall

Especially great for parents
A great read especially for mothers as a lot of the story settings describe day-to-day life with children.

An ok holiday read
I adored The Wildflowers and on that basis chose another Harriet Evans book to take on holiday. This one I struggled with. Kept feeling I was missing vital bits of info and it all felt messy. Much preferred the Victorian/Edwardian narrative, especially when it shifted into WW1. The children in the modern story set my teeth on edge - they were so irritating! I enjoyed Juliet's character development and was rooting for her throughout.

Finding family roots and self discovery
Good book, but unlike Harriet’s previous novella’s. Garden of Lost and found has complex characters and a great little twist in the end. This is a story of family and personal discovery. Missed the usual humor and quip of the author’s other books.
