DO NOT BUY unless you like aggrivation
A new microwave with Alexa integration! Neat! But you know what's not neat? Permanent stickers on the top of my shiny new microwave! You see, apparently there is a plastic film that must be removed prior to use. Good idea - it protects the surfaces so you can have that shiny new appliance for your countertop. And the manufacturer has helpfully affixed a sticker to make sure you know to remove them before you use it. Great! Only instead of putting it on the film where it would magically peel off, they put it on the top of the appliance, where there is no film. And they used permanent glue, so now I have a permanent mess on top of my otherwise shiny new microwave. It was going to look great. Now it looks like garbage. Thanks, Sharp.

Easy Setup & Reliable Sensor Heating
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. It was very easy to setup the Alexa integration with my echo show. There’s 3 different methods that the instruction manuals lists. Here’s what worked for me:1) Press Wifi button on microwave2) Open the Alexa app on phone, tap device icon, tap the plus sign ➕, connect new device, let it search for the microwave3) It will then prompt you to scan a barcode, the barcode is on the upper right corner inside the microwave4) It’s connected and ready to use, the time on my phone automatically showed up on the microwaveThis is the first microwave that I’ve used that has a sensor reheat and sensor frozen food feature. This came in handy when I had tossed the instructions for the frozen food that I wanted to heat up. I just placed the frozen food on there and press the sensor frozen food button and the microwave can sense the optimal temperature for the food so you don’t overheat your food and no more undercooked frozen pizza. My food is heated thoroughly in the microwave every time I use this feature. The sticker label was difficult to remove and left a residue, isopropyl alcohol 70% didn’t work so I used “Goo Gone” and it removed it completely. If you like using smart devices and connecting everything in your home with Alexa, then I highly recommend it. While you’re busy cooking other food or preoccupied with a different task and have your hands full, it’s nice to be able to stop the microwave with just your voice when you notice that your food is done. This smart microwave would also be useful for visually impaired people, instead of using a Braille keypad and for the elderly who have trouble reading small fonts.

Total Voice Control
This microwave is so awesome. I have my wireless network credentials saved on my account. So, the moment that I plugged it in, it automatically connected to the network, set the time, and it was ready to be controlled by Alexa.I simply say, "Alexa microwave for two minutes." The microwave starts without me touching a single button.I cooked 2 potatoes. I said, "Alexa, microwave two potatoes." The microwave started automatically and stopped when they were ready. And, they were perfectly cooked.I love it and feel that it is worth the extra cost. Now, if Alexa will wash the dishes, wash, and fold the laundry...

Basically a nice microwave
Product, has silver metal on most of it. But it is quite large for a little counter. However the choice is nowadays are smaller ones with less power, are these larger ones. I found that with less power I may as well just be using a regular oven.I like the idea of being able to use it with my echo/Alexa, but right now I feel it needs more development. Wish I could just tell Alexa to open the door, when I had my hands full trying to put something in.The directions refer to the keypad being lit up, but that is not the case on mine. May be a defect but one that I can live with.Basically it’s a nice microwave, looks nice even though it’s a bit too big for our counter. It’s relatively new so I don’t know how long it will last.

Fun to use with Alexa
I got this because I have gotten used to using Alexa for just about everything in the kitchen: setting timers, asking for measurement conversions, etc. I thought it would be fun to just say, “Alexa, microwave for 90 seconds” and not have to push any buttons. It worked just that way in the beginning. But now, I find I often have issues. I’ll ask Alexa to “microwave” something which she was originally able to do; but for some reason now she says, “Hmm, you have a lot of devices” but can’t seem to find the microwave. I guess I’m going to have to go through all my devices to try to find whatever the conflict is.I know this isn’t the fault of the oven - it works fine on its own. But the whole Alexa deal needs a bit more work.
