I bought new grates for my Webber kettle grill, it’s a cast iron grates, with the detachable center piece (diamond shape) everything works good with this tool, but it still a heavy grate toRemove, so keep that in mind.

This would get five stars if it were about an inch or two longer and have about 1/16 inch wider spread between the tines - at least for my purposes. Works great on my stainless and nickle plated grates - a bit tight on my cast iron grates; but it still works with a bit of effort. A bit more spread between the tines would be ideal. A bit more length would give a bit more leverage on the heavier grates. Overall, nice job. I would recommend.

Works perfect on my Weber charcoal grill for lifting or rotating the grill when it’s hot or for opening the hinged part of the grate to add more charcoal or wood chunks. My Weber has the gourmet bbq system and this is perfect if you need to change out the center grate. during a grill. This tool is made of heavy duty cast iron and built to last.Update: it’s been a year now and this tool continues to work great. No rust and easy to clean by just wiping any accumulated grease with a paper towel.

Although it looks like it would be a great product, it did not fit between the “Greenegg brand” cast iron grate top as advertised.
