When you say this is no a tie shoelace, that means it will work as good as a shoe lace minus tie, however thats not the case, the round plastic thingy moves up and down fine but does not lock the lace in its position.

These are really good quality. You get 4 sets which is a great deal.Some advice though, make sure you wear the shoe before cutting the laces to for the clip. Otherwise, you may but too short.

These shoelaces are of really low quality. The heads came off as soon as I installed them.
