Best Cup Ever
I love love love this cup. With the right fold this opens up easily and with it being a soft cup I rarely feel it while on. It’s a soft cup so it’s perfect for me. I don’t mind the stem at all but some users might not like and it doesn’t have the ability to trim it off but I feel like short enough to not be an issue. I’ve been using for 5 years and even after trying other cups and disks I always go back to my trustee Jennie. It holds high capacity so even on my heaviest day I don’t have to empty until the recommended 12 hour mark.Personally I like this cup and I give it a 10 star if I could. But overall menstrual cups are very subjective to different bodies and this one is my favorite.

I was dubious at first, but now, I'm a Jennie Cup convert!
For years, I'd looked online at this mysterious feminine hygiene product called a "menstrual cup" with awe and puzzlement. I wondered how the heck it could be comfortable, not leak, and fit correctly/not "squash up" internally, therefore messing up the entire mechanism and purpose completely. It's sheer size next to one's traditional super or super-plus tampon is, at first, a bit unsettling. I had previously thought that what might work for multitudes of other women would be an epic fail for me.After reading many reviews, and trying to make amends for the fact that I'm sorta a greenie-hippie and I'm creating tons of waste each month due to my monthly inconvenience, I figured that 27 bucks was a pretty safe gamble to try a product that if it worked out, might very well last me till menopause (I'm 40-something).I've had a period since my purchase, and I can confidently report to women of all ages:a/ It's as easy to use as a tampon, but remember your first tampon use 'back in the day', and it required a little practice? The same rules apply here. (Don't practice when you're not menstruating. I made this mistake and it's just not worth the discomfort.) My comfort level was a little higher than some women might have at first since a/ I'm an old lady who knows myself pretty well and b/ I've used non-applicator tampons in the past. The key is to RELAX and know your body and the way you are "built", to include your shape, cervix height, and sensitive spots as to avoid any pinching or discomfort. It may take some initial twisting and turning to get things placed right. You may be fooled at first and think it's folded up or otherwise askew. My main indicator that all was well was to give a very gentle pull on the stem at the end. You'll feel a comfortable "seal" once it's in place.b/ Once you're set and ready to go, you can't feel it one bit during the course of use, honest! I was mystified by this fact. I didn't think there was any way in Hades that would be possible, but it's true. Major bonus? Jumping, bending, running, picking up heavy stuff, climbing stairs, even passing gas or having a bowel movement will NOT knock the Jennie out of place. How is that even possible? What a miracle of modern convenience!c/ Old school tampon commercials proclaimed you could work out, swim, and pretty much do everything short of save the world while wearing a tampon. If that's true, add to that a menstrual cup does not leak one iota, and only requires changing every 12 hours (if not even less often due to lighter flow). It gives you insight into the fact that tampons, even the ones that claim to absorb quite a bit, aren't so special capacity-wise compared to the menstrual cup. Even those with the cruelest of cycle days will be hard pressed to maximize the capacity of the Jennie in a 12 hour time frame. If you're really concerned, try every going for a change every 6 - 8 hours and monitor how full it gets.d/ Worried about the mess? Yeah, I was too. I can safely report that mess-wise, my Jennie cup experience was nothing out of the ordinary compared to tampons/pads. Just like insertion requires some practice, so does taking it out. Remember, Jennie stays in place during all the activities I listed in b/, so you can't just "pull" to remove like you do with a tampon. You need to be comfortable enough with your body to reach in far enough to pinch the base just above the stem of the Jennie to break the seal. And you need to be comfortable enough with yourself to dump the contents into the toilet, clean up the Jennie and yourself with some toilet paper well enough to make it to the sink or tub and wash it up well between uses. The silicone material cleans up in a snap. Between periods, clean the Jennie with anything GENTLE and appropriate for its intended use. I've heard of some women boiling their Jennie in water for a few minutes, but I just opt for some hot-as-I-can-handle-it water and soap in the bathroom sink. It comes with a cute little storage pouch for in between periods. My experience was so positive, I'm getting myself a second, spare Jennie cup (will also make life easier if I happen to be in a public restroom with minimal privacy). Since I am a public sector mental health counselor who works with lots of clients with limited means, I'm donating all my leftover tampons to the women's shelter down the street - I won't be needing them anymore! :)

I think I've found my Goldilocks cup!
I ordered this cup because I have a vacation coming up in 2 months as well as a new job on the horizon and since I turned forty 2 years ago, my periods have made mundane life events such as those, nearly unmanageable. On my heaviest days, usually days 2 and 3 but sometimes day 1 as well, I go though an overnight pad every hour to 90 minutes. I do not like tampons and over the past 2 years have transitioned out of using them except when I absolutely need to. It's messy and uncomfortable to have to clean up what looks like a murder scene in public, not to mention going to the bathroom that often is inconvenient and nearly impossible when you work with children and can't just disappear at your convenience. I own the Duchess cup which works fine for days 4 and 5 but just doesn't have the capacity for my heavy days, especially since the backward and to the left tilt of my uterus only allows a cup to be 3/4 full before it starts to leak when my body is anything but upright. I tried the Lotus Fresh cup by Nene Fem Health and it was a complete waste of money. It never conformed to my body and leaked all around the cup even on light days. Anywho, with vacation looming, I had to find an option which would not have me either holed up a the hotel room in beautiful Jamaica for 3 days or scrambling to find a decent bathroom every hour. I looked at the Lily Cup, the Femmycycle and the Super Jenny. Based on the reviews and the fact that they offer a money back guarantee, I chose the Super Jenny, reasoning that if it didn't work, I could get a refund and try one of the others. Fortunately I think I've found my cup! I am on day 3 of my cycle and have been able to leave the cup in for 5 hours without a single leak. The only issues I had with leaking so far was when I was out and about and left the cup in for 7 hours on day 2, and on the overnight/morning of day 2/3 when I got out of bed in the morning there was a leak as I changed positions from laying flat for hours to sitting up. Both leaks were very minimal and left maybe a quarter sized spot on my pad, which I wore as a backup. I also noticed that when the cup is nearly full (as it was on the 7 hour day) and I go to bear down and urinate, it will leak into the toilet which is actually a good thing because it seems to free up a little more space so I don't have to change it right then and there. The cup and rim is large but the silicone is very soft and moldable. I haven't had many issues with the cup popping open once it's properly in place. The only problem I have is that when the cup is full and fully expanded, as I pull it out, it seems to strain and irritate my perineum a bit because of the large size, resulting in a little burning when I urinate. However, it's not like tampons were the most comfortable things during insertion or removal either and I used them for the better part of 30 years. This is certainly not something that will stop me from using this product as it has made my life so much easier already. I actually went out today (day 3) and ran errands for hours without worrying at all about changing a pad or having an embarrassing accident. I will probably invest in a natural plant based lubricant to assist with removing the cup more comfortably. I highly recommend this cup for women with a heavy flow. Side note, I have a high cervix and I have do to a bit of reaching while bearing down to get the cup out. Not an issue but be aware that you may have to do some "fishing" around if you have a high cervix.
