The cover is misleading.
I bought this as a gift for a friend. The cover is very misleading. I thought it was going to be a book that showed you how to make cute little animals. It shows you how to make the finger puppets featured on the cover but the rest are things like bags and bookmarks. So I was disappointed in the patterns. My friend didn't mind too much, though she thought the same thing as I did.If you are looking for a book that shows you a wide range of things you can make out of felt, then go for it. If you are like me and thought you'd be getting a book showing you how to make plushies and cute dolls.. this is not the book for you.

I expected more
I like Kata Golda's hand-stitched crafts and I expected this book to have better instructions and cuter projects. Instead, the instructions are vague and assume the reader can fill in the blanks (which, honestly, isn't difficult but I do think the instructions could be better). And, some of the projects are cute but I don't know that I would make more than one of some of these items. I was able to derive some ideas for my own projects but I actually got better ideas from browsing the author's Web site. Overall, the book is cute to look through and I'm happy to have it in my collection. If you don't need detailed instructions or want to imitate Golda's hand-stitched look, this book could be worth your time.

Love the dolls!--but instruction lacking
I fell in love with the mouse, rabbit, and dog dolls when I first saw them in ABC Carpet, so I was thrilled to discover that a book was available with patterns and instructions. Unfortunately, the instructions, both diagrammatic and photographic, are woefully inadequate. Get the book for the patterns but you will need to go online for any real "how-to" instructions (Mary Corbett's video's on [...] is a good place to start).

A nice little book of felt projects.
The book included many different projects and the photos were good.

Lovely, dear book
Oh, do buy this book! I'm working through it with my 9 and 7 year old daughters, and the projects are clear and simple. Everything can be hand sewn, and you won't require loads of supplies. We made some very charming easter basket bunnies and they look as darling as we had hoped! This is wonderful for kids learning sewing skills and it's full of easy projects for baby gifts, holiday gifts, ect.

The cover is really the best thing in here
I fell in love with the look of the cover and ordered the book on the basis of that alone. But the book on the whole is not really that inspiring. The "primitive" look, with big clumsy stitches just looks amateurish in many of the projects. And really, who needs a felt business card holder? The curtains look like a junk shop. Not particularly clever or well-crafted items. Sorry, I was disappointed. Buy Felt-craft instead.

Could be better
I bought this book because I wanted to make puppet fingers for my daughter, but the book has only one model for children...There are other pages that teach how to make handbags, wallets, the theme is too large, I wanted something directed to children. disappointed...

Love it
I bought this book for a kids hand sewing class that I taught and they loved it. The patterns are not precise but if your OK with that then this is right up your ally. I used a wool blended felt that I bought on-line.

Underwhelmed
I think I was hoping for a greater range of projects from this book. The style, which is certainly 'whimsical' is ok but there did not seem to be a great deal of difference between each project. I haven't rushed to replicate any of the ideas yet, and found myself ordering further books instead.

Disappointing
I was disappointed in this book as the standard of finish on the items illustrated is very poor.
