Great bags shipped fast and cheap
These are big bags. Of course you probably know that but they can hold a lot. I went to a different website that had a calculator that told me how many bags I needed for my sized attic and insulation depth because their website didn't have that function. It said two but I really needed three in order to avoid making the bags nearly impossible to move so I had to empty some out into a bin which was tricky. The bags are so affordable that you can err on the side of caution probably. They're made of rip-stop polyethylene but one of mine ripped. Keep in mind that you'll be picking up nails and other stuff in the attic most likely because if you're removing older insulation the home has probably been reroofed and it might be possible for sharp debris to make it into the bags. The "bag" is an about 2 .5 foot wide piece of open tube that is twisted and secured on one end with wire and open on the other. You just wrap the open end around your vac tube and you're off to the races with your "bag"! On the website it shows five tubes stacked inside a trailer. My stuff must be really heavy, rock wool mixed with vermiculate and cellulose for good measure and it would never stack the way it's pictured there. Rental store had bags for $28 each, or almost twice the cost so I'm happy.

Bags NOT sewn shut on EITHER end, leaking insulation everywhere.
The third BulldogVacBag I used wasn't completely sewn shut on the "sealed" end, and I didn't notice the defect when I attached the other, open end to my vacuum hose. The hose was necessarily long, because the place I had to vacuum was a long ways from it. So, I couldn't see the bag itself as I began vacuuming up insulation. Some time later, when I went out to check the bag, I saw that ALL of the highly toxic asbestos insulation I'd carefully vacuumed (with appropriate mask and clothing), had blown right out the other end of the faulty BulldogVacBag and contaminated most of our front yard. After sealing off the faulty end of the BulldogVacBag with a zip tie, it took hours of cleanup to go back and try to vacuum up all of the mulched asbestos. Extreme health hazard, very expensive to clean up, just because the BulldogVacBag people hadn't properly sewn the "sealed" end of their bag. I'm disgusted with the poor quality of the BulldogVacBags, will never buy them again.
