NorthStarNSQ Series 12V On-Demand Sprayer Diaphragm Pump - 4 GPM

Expected a pump with pipe thread fittings in the head.

Ordered this pump June 15, 2016. It arrived about a week later as advertised. Unfortunately, it was the wrong pump as it had 1/2" NPT ports, not the quick connect ports I needed. The web page is confusing. It shows P/N 2684062, which has quick connect ports, but the picture shows the 1/2" NPT ports. NorthStar should correct that. I contacted Northern Tool via Amazon, they contacted me back via email and to their credit they immediately sent me the correct pump, upgrading the shipping to two-day, and later sent me a shipping label to return the incorrect pump. When the replacement pump arrived, I was disappointed to find that it did not work correctly. With no leaks at the input or output and fully purged of air, it cycled constantly between 40# and 60#, and would not hold 60# when turned off. I again contacted Northern Tool via Amazon, and was told that I needed to call NorthStar directly for warranty issues. I did that, talked to a service person after about a ten minute wait, and described the problem. A replacement pump was sent, with upgraded shipping, and it arrived after two working days. The replacement pump works fine, and I am pleased with its performance. It is replacing the pump on an ATV herbicide spraying unit which I have used for about 15 years. I hope to have that kind of service from the NorthStar pump. While it would have been nice to not have any problems with this order, Northern Tool and NorthStar did a great job in resolving them, and they have my thanks.

Tank feed my 4gpm powerwashers just fine , only comes in to boost what is needed , pressurize water to 60 for me and runs my machines great to bottom of tank . Have to put some fittings to suit your applications but this is exactly what i was seeking . Buy the correct gpm for your operation i recommend the brand so far so good

I have purchased several items from Northern Tool over the years and found their customer service to be good. This is the first order from them through Amazon. Product description was misleading with pictures of quick connect ports and the product number I wanted shown. What I received was a pump with NPT ports which won't work for my application. Customer service response was that this is what I ordered, and no further discussion was available. Very disappointed with Northern Tool & will probably not order anything else from them.

Good product for a fair price. Fast shipping. No complaints. Works great for my little farm sprayer that I put in the back of the gator.

It has never pumped 1 gal of useful water for me. Very disappointed.
