the effect doesn't last very long. I need to reapply every 2 hrs or so. Smells nice and feels great and it does help with my heel pain - works great for about 2 hrs then the pain comes back. (Product does say to wait 2 - 3 hrs between applications, so perhaps that's a common result - frequent reapplication).Feels different on different areas of the body as well, more tender skin will feel the heat more than other areas. Like my heel, doesn't feel the heat, but gets pain relief. My shoulder feels the heat, for awhile, but doesn't get much pain relief.Nice gentle fragrance, I enjoy that a lot. A bit expensive, but it is a 2 oz jar and does go far.
