Can't live without 'em!
I can't live without these pencils. I use them for everything that I don't do on the computer: crosswords, Sudoku, cryptograms, word jumble, to-do lists, etc., etc. I usually wear out the erasers before I use up the lead (the Sudoku). Other than that they are perfect in every way.

The best Sharpwriter #2 was the original version
I have been writing with the Papermate Sharpwriter #2 for almost a decade as a daily "workhorse" pencil. The product I received was the "New" edition of the pencil, with the brighter, pure yellow barrel color. While this new version retained the OG Sharpwriter #2's ergonmic traits, the lead is scratchier and the eraser unfortunately smudges, unable to erase as cleanly as the OG. Papermate, please bring back the original formula for the Sharpwriter #2.

Most of the pencils work.
These are my favorite type of pencil, but unfortunately several of the pencils are defective.

Second To None!
I've been using these pencils for 10+ years. Second to none! I don't recall a single time that the lead would fall out or break with little to no pressure. I highly recommend these pencils!
