The Silver Swan (The Elite Kings Club)

Ik heb het boek helaas beschadigd binnengekregen en ik was te laat met het retourneren. Daarnaast is de prijs van dit boek ook nog eens gedaald waardoor ik het voor duurder heb gekocht. Ik vind het wel jammer want het leuk mij een leuk boek.

This book was absolutely great. It was so captivating how Madison learns more and more about the Elite Kings Club, yet so much remains hidden from her. The book captivated me from the very first second and the spicy scenes were just 🥵. Despite the love story, Amo Jones managed to keep the rest of the story as interesting as the love story. This book is a great recommendation on my part for all those who love Dark Romance books with a lot of excitement and many twists.German:Dieses Buch war absolut großartig. This story was filled with so much suspense, mystery and plottwists. It absolutely blew my mind.Silver Swan was my first "Dark-Romance" book and I'm so thankful that I've found this book and Amo Jones. From the first to the last word this book was so captivating that I read it in one sitting without taking a single break.Bishop was soooo intense. He is a typical bad boy but unlinke other stories Bishop doesn't make a 180° turn for his significant other and turn into a good boy. He is part of a "secret" club called the Elite Kings Club and it is super interesting to read about I think.What I really liked about Madison is that,eventhough she knew how dangerous the members of the EKC are she still stood up to them. She definitely has guts. Unfortunately she also has moments of weakness. By that I mean that sometimes she does incredibly immature or dumb stuff.I should probably also mention that the characters are in High School and around 17 - 18 years old. Be aware that this book ends in a Cliffhanger and you should have Broken Puppet (second book in this series) ready.

I‘ve gone into this book totally blind with no expectations (i would reccomend that!). And it blew my mind. So i don’t want to say something about the Plot. I couldn‘t stop reading and as soon as i finished it i had to read the next book in the series. So if you‘re looking for a read that makes you question your morals and your values, that‘s hot and gives you a new book boyfriend, than read this book!

I'm intrigued, confused, and a bit obsessed. That's how I felt upon finishing book one. While I didn't love it, I liked it a lot in an indescribably weird way. Can't explain it. And I kinda dig that I can't. I want - no, need- to know what happens next.The writing isn't fantastic. It's disjointed and sorta-kinda lazy in the sense that it hops from one thing to the next without smooth transitions. It's a choppy read. Still, I don't mind it too awfully much...I can fill in the blanks where needed. Just wished I didn't have to as it would make for a more smooth reading experience.That being said, I'm immediately on to book 2.*Updated Review*After reading the 1st couple of chapters in book 2 I had to cut my loses with this series. The writing took a turn for the worse. It was demonstrably too distracting trying to decode the out of sync character dialog, the cryptic plot line. Like, you need more to go on if you're a discerning reader with some standards. Writing style is key and this was sorely lacking in that department. Sucks when there is the premise of a good plot and the author knows d!ck-all how to execute it in a clear and concise way. I really really struggle to understand all the fangirls of this author. All I can surmise is they are lacking a hefty amount of braincells if they think this junk is brilliant.And I will forever be scratching my head as to how in the holy heck this is the same author who wrote Flip Trick?!?!P.s. I returned the entire d@mn series (minus The Silver Swan because I actually read that one) to Amazon. So blasted tired of getting suckered into these poorly written pieces of trash. And I'm not referring to trigger or dark content, I'm fine with almost anything. It's the poor writing that p!sses me off...and the money I haphazardly waste on it.
