Survival Guide (The Kane Chronicles)

My son loves this book, it is a great addition to the book series, which he has in paper as graphic novels and in kindle in the regular book form. Although a small book it has a great cover and explains the mythology of ancient Egypt within the context of the Kane Chronicles novels. My son is 8 almost 9 and an avid reader of fantasy fiction. We bought these after he quickly consumed the Percy Jackson novels by the same author and was begging for something similar with cool battles against mythological beings. He says he was surprised these are even better than the Percy books, due to the main characters can also perform magic. Buyer beware however, we were missing several pages in the middle of the book (see photo) which appears to be a publication error. The seller was quick to send out a new book however! My son would recommend this book to boys and girls in the 8-12 age range and he says it is a must have if you dont know much about Egyptian Mythology and adds understanding to the reading of the Kane Chronicles.
