Medline NON081440PH Convoluted Foam Heel Protectors, 1 Pair, Purple

I purchased this product a few years ago and while I used it, they were too high on the heel and thus uncomfortable to wear. This new product is much better. The straps are made so you can either wear them long on the foot with a short height just below the ankle or wear them the other way with a higher top and not as far on the foot. Great improvement. I highly recommend them.

I had right knee replacement and developed a pressure point - if untreated would progress to a bedsore - on my right heel. The searing pain would awaken me in the middle of the night, far worse than from my surgery. I knew I needed to find something to protect my heel from the bed.Ordered these heel protectors and have been able to sleep pain free every night since. They are clunky and have to come off if you get up in the middle of the night, but they slide off and on easily. I keep them very loose but they are adjustable if you want them tighter.So relieved I found them!

These don't hold up for very long but they are easier to move around in and don't get fouled up in fabrics the way other bulkier padded varieties do. It doesn't take very long to crush these down if you are a person of size. I take his used sets and cut the untrod foam from the sides to line the bottom of newer pairs to help them last longer. They stay shut pretty well and it takes a little bit of effort to tear them apart. Paying over $10 a pair seems a bit excessive. There's almost nothing to them - they have a basic design and are made from basic materials.

My mother is mobility impaired. She uses a wheelchair and her heal hits the back of the foot platform all the time and was getting really bruised. When she wears these her foot is protected and she has no problems. She has also started wearing them at night which she says is very comfortable.

They work good but if my mom needs to get YP to use the rest room they are hard to walk in, especially since she has neuropathy. I’m thin king about cutting the bottom part off cause I just red it on the back of her heels where they rest in the recliner. We’ll see how they do.

I got these for a friend who though not that old is somewhat disabled and has to spend a lot of time in bed. They work in bed watch TV in bed and read in bed just have to always have their legs up and they already had sheepskin a few of them on the bed but still there was a place on their heels that was just hurting them and it never did make a sore but I got these before that happened . They fit well and they get the job done of course if you sleep at night and kick like a mule you might knock one off but if you sleep normal they'll still be on when you wake up in the morning. They say they do have to take it off when they walk to the bathroom at night or the kitchen then they have to put it back on but it only takes a second. Always happy with everything I buy off Amazon for everyone.

Got these for my dad to wear since he became bed ridden. Help with the pressure on his heels. Sometimes they slip off if he brings his knees up while laying down.
