Not what it's claimed
Don't be mislead. This is not a Japanese saw, it is a Japanese type saw that definitely is made in China. It's nicely made, appears to be sharp and will likely cut reasonably well if used correctly. But make no mistake, this tool is Japanese in name only and there's nothing authentic about it. There is no disclosure and nothing in the product's description that suggests otherwise. A clear case of deliberate deception. Buyer beware.

I love this saw.
This saw is fantastic. I intentionally bought the least expensive one I could find figuring if I need to I can get a better one later. Now I doubt if I would ever buy anything else. I'm sure that if I spent more money i'd just be disappointed. This is every bit as good as any Japanese saw I've ever owned. The included padded tennis racquet tape for the handle was a nice touch and quite unexpected. The aluminum handle is top shelf quality and it cuts like butter with a nice thin Kerf. I love this thing.

Cheap Blade
I was excited to acquire my first Japanese pull saw. I was disappointed in this one. The blade was made of very cheap metal. Using the rip blade was like cutting with a butter knife.

Good value and quality for the price. Check which version is cheapest to purchase!
For some reason the blue version was significantly cheaper at time of purchase. Easy to assemble and good quality and value for money. I'm still learning how to use it, but I think it is a big improvement compared to western push saws.

Handy but can be difficult depending on cut
This this is great for cutting small softwood saplings and a few other cuts, but can be frustrating if the blade grabs too much wood and just warps/bends. Got to cut slower and bit less wood.

Made in China
Japanese Metal, but made in China as you can see the hole doesn’t match from saw to handle. 🤣🤣

Well made, bigger than it looks
The size refers to the blade length, when you add the handle its actually rather sizable. Well made, good looking. Looking forward to using this on my next project.
