Great monitor at an unbeatable price
What a great product! Not without imperfections but really really nice. The parent unit is awesome - I’m not sure how big others want the screen but I found it really sizable and perfect. Ours is positioned across the room about 3m away and provides a full view. Looking at negative reviews, I think it’s important to position the camera correctly. Mount it on the wall if you don’t have a table in the perfect spot, but really for us the view is awesome.Night mode is black and white only but this really didn’t present a problem for us - picture is still crystal clear.Addressing some other points that other reviews have highlighted:The room temp is 2 degrees Celsius lower than what it says on the monitor. I wouldn’t bank too much on that. Will check whether it’s consistently so, then it’s pretty easy just to deduct 2 degrees from what it says on the display. We also received a dead battery for the parent unit. The seller was awesome though - we don’t live in the U.S. and he refunded me what a replacement battery cost. Couldn’t find an actual iNanny battery but the unit uses a Samsung battery which you can buy from any cellphone store.Audio on the parent unit is not super loud but it’s definitely adequate. Can clearly hear when something’s happening. There is about a 1 second lag which is really not an issue. One thing that is odd is that on our older iNanny model there are lights on the parent unit that lights up when sound is detected. This way even if you have turned off the volume on the parent unit, you can see when there is noise. This model also has the lights, but they don’t work - stays off even when there is sound. Not sure whether it’s just our particular one that’s faulty. Doesn’t really bother us though.Battery life on the parent unit is ok - you can click off the picture (really no one stares at the picture constantly) the sound still works perfectly but with the picture being off, battery lasts much longer. Then when you hear sound, you can just click the picture back on. It works instantly and you can see what’s going on.It is true that the camera makes a clicking noise when it switches from day to night mode. I’m not sure why this is a problem for some though, it really isn’t that loud at all and we draw the curtains when baby naps - it stays in night mode constantly and doesn’t click back and forth. I think this is also maybe a case of where people placed the camera really close to the baby. As mentioned, we placed it across the room and picture, audio, width of picture all were perfect.Range on the parent unit works throughout our single level 240m2 home. The app is a great added feature for a monitor at a really cheap price! We use the parent unit 90% of the time, but it’s nice to know that app option is there should someone else be watching the baby whilst we’re out or something. There’s a lag on the app but it’s only a few seconds, really not that bad. The camera snap shots isn’t a useful feature for us but it’s not a problem or anything. Just delete the images. App is heavy on iPhone battery and unfortunately doesn’t continue to run in the background so when you use your device for something else - no more monitor or sound. It’s not an issue for us though as we use the parent unit primarily. We’ve experienced no problems with connectivity to the app both using WiFi or cellular data. It takes a a bit of time to connect but again this isn’t a problem for us as it’s not like we hear a noise and then scramble for the app - we use the parent unit at home and that works instantly. The app really is just an extra for when you’re not at home and want to keep an eye - wouldn’t recommend using it as the primary monitoring device, rather use the supplied parent unit. Also the app has a constant static “interference” noise, which would drive me mad were I to use this as the primary monitoring device. Again, hasn’t been an issue as we use the parent unit (no interference noises at all) and would only use the app to make sure baby is ok when someone else is at home. All in all a really cool little product at an unbeatable price. Will update should we experience any problems.

Awesome for the price.
Bought this camera a while back as a super cheap alternative to the IP camera I was using. Ended up getting blown away. The fact that it supports WiFi connectivity and 5.8Ghz stream to the monitor is awesome.Pros:-super cheap!!!-battery on monitor is awesome. Going strong for a year now. No issues.-supports 5.8Ghz and WiFi-temp sensor built in-compact-supports rtsp stream for viewing outside of the terrible app-mic is nice-stand is nice on the monitorCons-view on monitor is really zoomed in so you have to angle it just right. A bit better on the WiFi stream-Loud click when it turns on night vision LEDs. Fixed by putting tape over photo sensor for keeping it on all the time.-app is terrible. Don’t use it. Use another app that supports rtsp. Also block this thing from reaching out to the internet on your router so the whole world doesn’t watch your childOverall. Bought this on a whim and because of its cost. Really impressed by it over the year and ended up taking down my HD PTZ monitor for this as a primary.

Excellent for the price
This product was very good in the sense of you get what you pay for. I think the only thing that I disliked about it was the connection and battery life on portable monitor. On the connection part of things it has been constantly looseing connection to my internet and also it will sometimes have pairing issues with portable monitor but once it connects it works awesome the quality isn't great at night but it is "ok" during the day the quality is Crystal clear on both monitor and network device. On the battery issue well there isn't much to say cause it's understandable cause it's constantly streaming so I just keep it plugged into the wall for the most part. But if u have any questions just call tech support they helpede out alot. Thanks guys!!!

Works for the most part but not reliable
This monitor has inconsistent performance. Initially used it when camping and it repeatedly disconnected. Now we use in her room at home and although it works most of the time there are nights when the display on the monitor is not working and we are unable to go into baby’s room while she is sleeping to try to fix the problem on the camera end. Also, tried to contact iNanny customer Service but the only way to do this is through email and it came back as undeliverable so I haven’t been able to install and use the feature to install and view baby through app on phone. The battery life in the monitor is great so far. Camera easy to install. The zoom feature is worthless because the realization becomes too grainy. I wouldn’t purchase this monitor again.

App does not work
This is a pretty good little camera monitor for the price but the app for your phone does not work. I ordered it because it had the parent monitor and the option to download a app to view from your phone but the app does not work at all. Every time I would try to set it up it would just shut down. I even tried uninstalling and reinstalling, had my husband download it to see if it would work on his phone but nothing worked. For this reason we are returning it. If you do not need or care about about the ability to view while you are away then this is a good product for a really great price.

Hey you dummy packing this wheres my battery at?
We seem to like the monitor for the most part. Cant figure out what app to download to use it on our phones. It shows full battery but would go off when we unplugged it. So looked to see if battery was in it and the thing even have a battery. Says should come with one but ours sure didnt. I saw other reviews talking about it going off when unplugged I'm assuming that's why with theirs also lol. But all in all for a low end baby video monitor it's worth the $35-40 cause it serves its purpose and saves us lots of steps with out handicap child.
