For the price it was well worth it!!!! We used it on spring break on the beach as a respite from the sun and wind. Not the most intuitive to put together the first time, but after the first time, it's a cinch. One piece of advice is to pay attention to not only the direction of the sun, but also the wind. You may need to place heavier items on the corners to keep from blowing away if its a very windy day.

I purchased this based on the reviews and I have to admit that I am severely disappointed. The plastic pieces for the bases are so easily breakable that they didn't survive the first setup. I am an Eagle Scout so tent setup is second nature to me, so comparing this to a tent setup can't be farther from reality. Also, the instructions in the box didn't match the product and how to set it up correctly. It went straight to the garbage within an hour after unboxing it. Not happy and I really don't see how anyone else can be happy with this product as well. A better design would be to have hook/clips to attach the nylon to the poles. That would take 90% of the frustration I had with this product out of the way.

Ordered from VMInnovations and they offered to replace or refund me right away. The poles snap/ break easily. First time we set it up the second pole snapped as I was securing it to the foot. I had intended to use it on the sideline ( for the bench - kids waiting to get back in the game so they can cool down. We live in the southwest). I set it up in the house = no wind and followed the cartoon instructions best I could. Really love the concept and design, being able to slide the shade as the sun moves. If you are going to take a chance on getting better parts/poles than I did here are a couple pros and cons1 - it is much bigger than I expected.2 - There are a lot of parts. even getting used to it I cant imagine this taking anywhere under 15 - 20 minutes. 4 Bases / feet , 5 poles (3 sturdy aluminum and 2 low grade fiberglass), floor cover and wall plus 2 strips of fabric with grommets. plastic washers, and tie line3 -If you find a good way to make/find replacement heavy duty poles please let me know!

The thing was a pain to put together. My original intent was to use for 8 yr soccer team to have some shade while playing on turf, unless you stake it in the ground, this thing is flimsy as can be. I wanted to return but the retune policy sucked since it wasn't a Prime product. Wouldn't have nearly cost me as much to return as just keeping so I didn't bother returning. We'll see if I can get something for it in a garage sale down the road.

It worked fine for us. It takes a little more effort to assemble than I would have preferred, biting you will be at the beach for any extended period of time I would say it is worth off or the price.

...because the three one-star reviews are posted by people with IQ below 80. Or maybe I'm very lucky or smart and modest too. It took me 10 min to assemble it and our little breeze from Oregon didn't take it away. In fact, I was very surprised with the quality of this product (made in China but comes from Switzerland). Three nice bags for the different elements, nice poles with smooth finishing and even the stakes are better than the average Coleman. And all this for twenty-five bucks ? I'd have paid fifty and still would be happy.Now six things you should know about me to consider this review.1. NO, I don't work for Skincom.2. NO, I don't come from Switzerland.3. I should have read the review before I purchased. What a waste of $. Took too long to assemble, full of sand by finish. One pole was missing a hole to clamp it into. After the breeze took it away, I went to take it apart and where the anchors go in the holes had cracked open. Then the piece where the pole went into was totally snapped off. So disappointed. Also does not give off enough shade.

While I only received it 2 days ago and haven't set it up. I did want to comment on the quality of the storage bag. The zipper got stuck on both ends of the run. We had to sew together the zipper run ends to get it not to stick. Poor quality to not properly finish the zipper run ends.
