Works With Zoop Novo - Special Twist Needed to Attach Cable to the Zoop
I used this successfully with a Suunto Zoop Novo and was able to export data to the free Suunto DM5 diving app you can download from Suunto's website (be prepared to download the .NET framework, visual C++ 2010 redistributable package, and GTK# UI framework).SPECIAL NOTE ON CONNECTING THE CABLE TO THE ZOOP: be prepared for the fact that connecting the cable to the Zoop takes a special twist - pun intended. When connecting the cable to the Zoop, you align the red dot on the circular male connector to the top (face) of the Zoop where if you look REALLY carefully you will see a raised bump or dot that you are lining the red dot up to. This should then align three indents on the interior sleeve of the connector with three slots on the connector. You will note that the pins on the male connector are out of alignment with the pins on the Zoop and the connector will not stay attached - UNTIL you twist clockwise - that secures the connector. Use a very light touch. Resist pushing too hard or you might bend the pins. Once done, then plug the USB side of the cable into your laptop after you've started up DM5 (or whatever app you're exporting your Zoop data to) and you should be good to go. (Note - for the picture I removed the O ring that slips over the end of the male connector just so it was easier to see - the O ring should be in place normally)This cable is outrageously expensive but you don't have much choice if you want to electronically transfer your data from the Zoop to another device.1 star on price. 5 stars for functionality minus one star for no documentation on how to twist and lock the connector to the Zoop so 4 seems more than fair.

Suunto could do much better
Starting with 5 stars:I took off one star because the cable (and software) is overpriced. Its a $10 cable with $5 software, nothing special.I took off another star because no instructions were sent with the cable regarding attaching to the D4, or downloading software, or where to even get the software. When the cable is attached to the watch and the USB into the computer nothing happens, no automatic link to the required software. Not asking too much when paying $85.I took off another star because nothing was included in the D4 users manual about connecting or downloading dive information. In summary, I gave the D4 watch 5 stars and this cable and software 2 stars. It does what it is supposed to do but Suunto could have made this a much easier and affordable process.

Happy I Bought It
I called the seller, Beach Cities Scuba Center, because I didn't want to force the cable into the watch and break something. The customer rep was very helpful and got the cable and the dive computer to see for himself. I just had to line up the red dot on the end of the cable to a marked spot on the watch and twist clockwise to lock it in. Simple and easy to do. I am happy I bought this cable for my Suunto Zoop Novo dive computer watch.

It sucks, but you've gotta have it.
It's something you've gotta have to transfer your dives to your E log book.By the way, don't even bother with Suunto's software. Get DiveLog6.0. The transfer is much better and the data much more useful. Even still, this cable is a cheap POS. One of the two contacts corrodes quickly making the connection to the computer intermittent. If you try to clean them, be extra careful. As the one pin gets corroded, it snaps quite easily. It's also spring loaded and gets stuck down.
