This book tells the whole story about poor in India. It is with a unique way of writing using powerful and humorous language. It's easily understandable too. This is actually a story about a rural man with his cunningness and courage fighting against all odds reaching great heights were even he didn't dream of. Great book for all category of readers.

The story depicts his journey from beating coal in a small tea stall to becoming an entrepreneur in bangalore ! The journey involves how he releases himself from the struggles of poverty and THE CAGE ! The story involves series of events including murders , competition , etc. It has unexpected plot twists too!Aravind Adiga has also brought out the patriarchy and small-town-mentality that even educated people show ! We also see racism in the story. I was bored due to the slow paced story , but then I looked at it in a way of a JOURNEY ! HA!! That's when it hit me , this book needs to be read as a journey and not a story !RECOMMENDEDRATING - 3/5THANK YOU !

Firstly, I have not read the book yet however I received the book slightly dented and looks used. Anways, I still won't allow that to destroy my experience as the price was super cheap and content will not disappoint:)

Really a fantastic book..Author uses simple language yet his words are magically deeper in sense. From beginners to avid readers,a highly recommendable one. Everyone can have a good read and I mean it. A masterpiece by Aravind Adiga.
