Update after a month:The unit had an issue with power and WiFi, basically once the power is below around 40% the unit can randomly crash. The solution is to turn off WiFi which is annoying and defeats the main reason to get this over the previous version. Despite this, I still do enjoy using it enough to keep a hold of it, wish I’d have just known in advance and saved some time trouble shooting!I’m super pleased with this handheld: after doing some research around the various options with portable emulators, this one promised a quality build coupled with easy setup and it delivered in spades.The metal finish gives it a premium feel and the controls feel responsive and highly tactile.Following advise I read online, I replaced the supplied SD card for a Samsung one with a fresh copy of 351Elec and found it super performant and reliably ran my own collection of games. You could use as is - comes stocked with a collection of games and is ready to use straight out the box but I’d recommend putting in the time to follow a guide online and use your own personal ROMs rather than the slightly dubious set supplied!Delivery was ahead of the time quoted, so all in all very satisfied

I'm new to the whole rom scene but have dabled with cheap game boy rip offs in the past with some disappointment. Am so glad that after some research I came across this little gem of a handheld. Its not cheap but you do get a lot for your money. The handheld has some weight in your hand thanks to the metal build and feels nicely solid. The buttons and two sticks feel solid too, there is nothing cheap or tacky to find here. I haven't started to add my own roms or delve too deeply into the well designed menu system that sits behind the smart and colourful front screen but there are so many games included on the 64gb memory card that I will be playing this for months as it came straight out of the box.

If you want something simple and out of the box this will be great. It comes pre-loaded with enough ROMs to keep you going, but you can add your own if you like either via putting the microsd card in your computer or using a FTP client. If you are a tinkerer then it's easy to add new themes, scrape game art, customise the controls/cheats etc, but if you aren't into that you can still enjoy it without knowing much about the behind the scenes stuff.Game wise it'll play most PS1 games spot on, some PSP games run okay but you ca adjust frame skip to make it better. Everything below PS1 works perfectly fine of course.Comes with built in wi-fi, unlike the RG351p, so that saves you having to get an OTG and wi-fi adaptor, plus the metal case makes it worth the premium in my view.

I actually reallly liked this device. It’s a bit of a pain to setup if you don’t know what you’re doing but it does all start to make sense eventually. The device is built well and the screen is great. My only gripe is it’s really uncomfortable to hold for medium to long periods. I have fairly average sized hands and it can dig into you palms a bitOverall it’s really not bad. It does work and it works fairly well.

The Anberlic rg351m is overall a very good retro game device. To start with the instructions that come with are useless. The SD card that comes with it, is fiddly to install, tip: you know those pins that come with modern phones (that you insert your memory card with) use one of those to put your card in. There are plenty of games on this device. TIP buy a usb card reader (i bought a ANKER) for it, pop your sd card in the card reader and insert it into your pc USB slot to install more games. (i use Vims lair for games) I am currently playing Alien 3 (arcade version) and Mario and Luigi superstar on it. Customer services is good and prompt at answering questions. The sellers communication was great and the handheld is fantastic, I have had a few handhelds in the past which was ok, but this one is outstanding.

The Ambernic MP351m is probably the best retro handheld gaming console . The build quality is very well build and comfortable to hold in your hand. I highly recommend to buy this if your new the the retro handheld game 5/5
