This thing is massive
Very cool piece. You're gonna need more paint.

Much bigger than I thought
If you are familiar with Wizkids' line of unpainted minis, there's no surprises here. This is their standard level of quality and detail. What did surprise me was the size. Now it does say in the product information that it is 5.51 inches tall, but I didn't really pay attention to that. This guy absolutely dominates my minis cabinet. He has such a large presence that it makes my horned devil look tiny in comparison.

A Ship that has been greatly needed
I have been waiting to finally get this! The toy ships I used for my role playing players in the past for their figures really didn’t cut it. Now we have a totally realistic, highly detailed ship. The bonus to it being unpainted is you get to paint it the exact shades and colors that you want. The ship will be totally unique to you!

SEXIEST SHIP ON THE SEVEN SEAS
First and foremost, I am a Dungeon Master, running the Ghosts of Saltmarsh campaign. I ordered this ship for my party to sail on the Sea of Swords.Holy. Freaking. Crap.Let me say first, this baby is TO SCALE. You want that 90-100 foot "each tile=5 ft" Sailing Ship in D&D? THIS IS IT. You could fit the whole cast of Pirates of the Caribbean on this sexy thing, in miniature form. The detail is outstanding. Wizards of the Coast DOES NOT mess around. A tri-force of creation bards could not have conjured a more intriguing and dynamic ship in miniature form. Who slapped a dragon on this as a figurehead and made my dreams come true? And a dragon claw/hand for an anchor? If you want a ship for D&D, get this ship, paint it how you wish and you will ascend to greatness. It's easier than clapping your butt cheeks together for an eldritch blast at the shopkeeper. In the words of Shia Lebouf, JUST DO IT.

Mini is fantastic! I was misled on the item listing.
I love this mini and can't wait to paint it. The quality of the mini itself is superb. My beef is with Amazon Marketplace. The item listing stated "Damaged box." I take damaged box to mean a damaged but unopened item. I understand that many consumers will return a damaged but unopened item believing a damage box means damaged goods. I am willing to accept minor damage to an item if the listing states "damaged box." However, I do expect damage to be minimal at worst and that all pieces of the item will be present. The box was so badly torn it was clear the item has been opened and was in fact an open box item. That's a horse of a different color; if I buy something listed as open box I know I am taking the chance of moderate damage and missing piece.I would not have paid what I did for open box on an item like this.Thankfully there was no damage to the item I could find, and all parts are present except the insert that came with the item (I have seen unboxing videos of the pre-painted version and know what was supposed to be in there). Please list items correctly to be fair to potential consumers and ensure they are paying a fair price. For the risk I took in buying this, I actually overpaid.

Wow that’s huge
I knew it was big. I mean it’s kinda expensive so I figured big. But it’s huge. My adventures are sailing the seas of the coast of Saltmarsh in this massive multi compartment vessel. Totally worth it for the painters and D&D players. A group of 5 seasoned adventures saw this and went “WOAH” in unison when they approached the docks in game and I put this on the table. Amazing game aid.

Mild breakage but still good quality
One of the masts was broken in the middle, but it's an easy enough fix with some super glue. Very likely it broke during the shipping process, so I would suggest checking your pieces before painting.

meh.
About what I expected from the other reviews. I'm glad I didn't buy a second. The bad-The masts do not stand straight due to the magnets being glued on crooked and plugged up with 'primer'- Removing the sails to paint is nightmareish.- The cannon doors are cool, but two of them are blocked off nearly completely on the inside, and there is no floor. Seriously.- Doesn't seem to be made properly to scale. The doors are tiny, the roofs of the rooms are too low to place a miniature inside without removal of the top.-The entire ship is not level, and rocks slightly front to back on my table.-It's completely hollow and does not even have a bottom.- For the $ I expected a little more functionality. The good-It's huge-It's well detailed (not fantastically well detailed)-The cardboardish floor tiles are actually pretty decent.-The magnets are strong enough to hold the masts for table usage.Lets face it: You're going to buy one because the falling star sailing ship is massive and cool. But you'll also be somewhat disappointed for the above mentioned.

Incredible value for money
This is an absolute beauty. I have been seeking a Falling Star for some time and could not justify £230+ for a painted version. As soon as I saw this at half the price, I had to have it. It is big, commanding the table with its presence and catching the eye constantly. I have to say that the new Dnd Nolzurs minis are knocking it out of the park for me.I now intend to railroad my current campaign and journey onto the open seas.
