One of those nostalgic, necessities for every childhood. The paint is beautiful, the wood is smoothed down well, and is very well crafted. My little one loves this set of nesting dolls. I put them all back together, she loves to take them apart because her favorite is the smallest little teal colored bird inside. That being said, this toy is great and safe for any children who are old enough to not encounter a choking hazard, likely 3+ years. If that is of concern, save the smaller pieces for later, the larger ones will still entertain.

I purchased this set for my 18 month old and he loves them! Pros: great value for the price, cute designs and more "aesthetic" than plastic toys, keeps my little one entertained for some time. Cons: colors are not as vivid as the photo, the bear's ears are easily breakable and came off at the first use, the littlest piece could be a hazard depending on your child, and they're kind of hard to open until they're broken in. They open more easily over time, or if you use a twisting motion while opening which helped teach motor skills. My son still loves them months later despite the cons so it's a win for me!

These are very well made and easy to open! This company sent me an email stating they will repair/replace if ever I experience a problem. That is pretty rare in these days! I highly recommend this product.

Beautiful paint job, real wood, and the price is appropriate for the quality. Lots of creative options with this toy, like making up a story with the animals - it’s nice to find an alternative to electronic toys that do all the thinking for kids. I bought this for my almost 2-year-old, who was obsessed with my Russian matryoshka doll - I didn’t want him playing with that one so bought his own. Although I would not recommend it for children under age three, because it’s just too hard for them to operate it independently, we still have a lot of fun with this set!

I purchased these nesting dolls for my three year old great grandson, but they are not an appropriate toy for young children, as indicated in the product description. The outer animal pieces fit together so tightly I could hardly open or close them. The attached ears protrude and make it impossible to push down on the dolls to close the two pieces. The ears are stiff and could break off if dropped in a hard surface like tile or wood floors. I promptly returned the product.

They are designed and priced to make a good gift for a child. It took some sanding and then wiggling and breaking it in before they easily opened and closed. Cute design though.

Bought as a gift for Easter but by the time it was opened, we could no longer return. Largest one will not close. Others are very snug and difficult for a child to open and close.

Disappointed! they are cute and I wanted to get them as a gift but the outer bear does not close all the way along with the next animal inside doesn’t close as well , very sad like I said it was for a gift wrote to the seller but never heard back from them
