This is a book with actual stuff you can use. If you’re interested in learning these skills then this is a great book. I purchased it for my outdoors son and he has already dog eared pages and underlined ideas.

I like that it's hardcover, it does have a lot of knowledge, but, what if you don't have rope? There are no offered alternatives to help new offgridders. What if you can't butcher? There's no small lesson to butcher. It's a good book for people who have some knowledge like me, but newcomers need a little more guidance. What items should you use to make a knife or an arrow? So many people don't have certain trees for help, alternatives should be given for a little assistance is all. It's a good book for me, but not for a beginner.

Really lame book. Seems to be an old book (old language/juvenile drawings) reprinted. No actual instruction, just 'ideas' you could research somewhere else. No actual recipes. No deflections instruction. Ther are SO MANY other good books to spend your money on. Don't bother.Very disappointed.

What you get is rehashed stories from a century or so ago, not checked for accuracy, and little in the way of ‘here is how to do this’. It appears that the cover was designed for an entirely different content than what is provided in the book.If you’re looking for what is described on the cover or description, Do Not Buy THIS Book, as you will not find that content here!
