This is very informative if you are intrested in the history of the standard poodle.

When I was reading this book aloud, my poodle responded with a very big grumbly sigh. I’m glad I got the book.

I’ve been lucky enough to have lived with Toy Poodles since I was 5 years old, I occasionally breed, show, do agility and obedience, our great love is trick training, we were on BGT last year and got 4 yeses. Mojo is a Guinness world record holder. I have lots and lots of Poodle books, but it’s so great to see an up to date handbook, perfect for new owners and experienced ones alike. It covers any question you may have, and I will be recommending it to my friends. I particularly loved the pages on ‘the holistic approach’ I totally follow as natural a life as possible for my Poodles and I’ve had several reach 18/19 years old by avoiding over vaccination. I also raw feed and rarely use anything chemical such as wormers, flea treatments, so it was great to see those things covered.This is a great book to dip into if you are unsure of something too, the training section is very comprehensive and I’m sure new poodle owners will find it so helpful!The only thing I saw that I couldn’t quite agree with is Toy Poodles not being as lively as the bigger varieties, they can and will do regular long walks, and have endless energy! They aren’t happy with just a romp in the garden, I can’t get away with missing a walk unless it’s torrential rain 😂They are brilliant with children, in fact two of mine are ‘reading buddies’ at our local school 💞 if you are buying this book to decide if a poodle is the dog for you, it will certainly help! They are a sensitive and super bright breed, once you’ve been ‘Poodled’ you really won’t look back, they are addictive! This book has a lot of love for Poodles between its pages, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed reading it!
