Hayden Automotive526 Remote Transmission Oil Cooling System

First off- the vendor TruTrans always shipped fast and packed it reasonably well. I purchased my 1st Hayden 526 Oil Cooler in March 2019 for a test bench for engines. Started actually using it in October. I had less than 30 hours on it at oil temps below 180F and 40-55psi according to my gauges. Was originally cooling 10W30 oil with it but needed to go heavier with 20W50. So I needed to disconnect the hoses and completely drain my test system and also install a bypass valve while things were apart. I cut the hoses to the barb tips. Pulled 1st hose- no problem came off well as expected...pulled 2nd hose and the crimp between the barb and 1st fin opened. Tried re-crimping it with a needle nose pliers and it crumbled. So I just yanked the rest of that hose off and ordered another on December 23rd 2019- just because that would be the fastest fix and I have deadlines. TruTrans was awesome and got it to me early- about mid-day on Christmas eve. Some of the fastest shipping ever- especially this time of year. I think I will only be using brazed radiators in future builds after this experience. As a work around, I installed short hoses with extra AN6 connectors and unions so I can disconnect & service things without ever pulling hoses off barbs on the 2nd radiator. Otherwise unit was good- good fan and drops 20F with oil running through it when the fan runs.
