I have two MA-18’s that I run pretty much 24/7. This means that in order to maintain the warranty I need to buy two new filters roughly every two months. That’s $660 a year to run two tiny air filters! Bad on me as I should have done more homework on this.

Rip off. Most expensive filters on market. Do the math ahead & pick other company. #2. Worst custumer service. Wont answer. List of my attempts. Aug 1st. Replaced filter per manufacturer instruction. Air purifier red light wont reset-keeps saying change filter.Tried reset 100's of time over 2 days. Won't reset. Called medify. No solution. Now what do I do. I bought 4 yr waranty. Aug 17 update. 2 weeks called & emailed company. No response to problem or waranty. Stay away. Medify web does not even show M18 product. Discontinued???? Yet bought full price on amazon. Sept 2 update-still no answer from customer service. Bought extra 4 yr waranty. Save your money & aggravation. Worst company support. Sept 25 changed filter 2nd time. Still red light wont reset. Customer service finally answered & said product discontinued so replace with older M13 model. Yet why same price if an older model by 5 generations? Update Dec 2020. Medify still won't answer. Even with new filter, Machine red light keeps saying change filter. So does machine work with red light alarm,???? Worse customer service in my 73 years of life. Stay away

The filters only last 2 to 3 months and are expensive to replace. The replace filter light continued to stay on even after I put in the new filter. There were no instructions for resetting the replacement light. After much unsuccessful research, only by trial and error did I learn to reset the replace filter light by holding down the filter light icon until it beeped. I hope this is helpful for others who have had the same problem with this air cleaner.

I last replaced my filter in the middle of February. Last week I noticed “change filter” light is on - not even two months later! At $50 a filter, that’s $300 a year just in filters! No one smokes in here (or outside), and I keep the house clean. That’s too much money a year for what this filter does. I should have checked the reviews better, as I see this is not an uncommon problem. I will do without, thank you. Whoever dreamed this money making scheme up is a real genius - sell someone a $130 air purifier, and then engineer it so the $50 filter needs to be replaced every 2 months. I don’t think so.

This review is based on our experience with the original filter and purifier. First the “replace filter” never came on. Second, as a result the filters failed and the purifier began emitting all contaminates captured back into the surrounding area. The contaminates manifested themselves in the form of staining walls, carpets, doors and tiles. While the tiles and carpet could be cleaned, the walls and doors will need to be painted professionally in order to match paints. We are now purchasing what we hope will be a product that helps keep the air in our house clean and does not ruin the interior.
