TropiCleanPerfect Fur Dog Shampoo for Shedding Control & Deep Conditioning for Breeds with A Combination of Long & Short Fur, 16 Ounce

This is a nice enough dog shampoo. I bought it excited to try on my golden retrievers. I take meticulous care of their coats (they get baths about every two weeks and brushed regularly). I was intrigued when by this product because catered to their specific coat type. I am familiar with and love tropiclean shampoos and conditioners. However, I expected this to be the same sized bottle but it is smaller and more expensive. The scent wasn’t really for me either, it had kind of a cologne scent versus the typical tropical scents from this brand.Overall, not worth the extra $5 per bottle for a smaller amount.I noticed zero difference between this shampoo and their two in one papaya shampoo. For goldens the best is their deshedding formula and conditioner.

I love TropiClean products, they work great and they don't break the bank. When I saw they came out with this shampoo, I had to try it!I bought the shampoo for combination coats. I have a Welsh Springer Spaniel, a breed that is sadly dissappear, even though its one of the oldest breeds. She has a beautiful glossy red and white coat with feathering on her tail, legs, chest and tummy.Anyone who's ever had a longhaired dog can tell you, rinsing out their coat after bathing can take ages... and usually should if you're bathing them properly.I was impressed how easily and quickly I was able to rinse this from her coat! That right there alone is reason to love this shampoo!That being said, a little went a LONG way! I was able to use half the amount I usually would, and had her more sudsy than I have ever seen! This shampoo used with a curry comb (rubber brush) or "HandOn Grooming Gloves" will have your dog covered in bubbles!The shampoo does have a nice gender-neutral fresh scent. I tend to hate floral, powdery or overly sweet scents. Both my husband and I loved this one.The only thing I will mention is, its not great at whitening, but I didn't expect it to be.I noticed a grayish spot on her white chest after rinsing her down, so I used TropiClean's Whitening Shampoo and it took care of it.I cant say it if this shampoo made her coat any softer, as this breed is naturally silky and so soft (that's the first comment I get when people pet her). I also used conditioner, as you should with a longhaired dog. For that, I used TropiClean's Conditioner.I will definitely be keeping this product on hand!I didn't receive any discount for my opinion. I am a product manager at a pet store. I have worked in pet retail and at a dog wash for over 10 years now. I also show my Welshie. I have tried more pet shampoos than your average person!

Bought this to try on our dog who sheds big time in warmer months. We’re on our third bottle or so because it seems to work. The first time I used it, could not believe the amount of fur I had accumulated on my hands just while scrubbing the dog! We brush before and after washing to maximize the deshedding treatment. Also pay close attention that the shampoo has to remain on pet for a few minutes. My husband always wants to rush and rinse but I think you have to give product enough time to work. It is a little pricey for dog shampoo but it typically lasts a while and we have a fairly large dog (72 lbs).

I have a 13 year old Westie Mix. He has always been my stinky dog no matter what shampoo I have tried on him and I have tried TONS of different shampoos. I really did my research after we moved into a house with some land and I was giving him a bath atleast once a week. I found this and I will never use another shampoo for him as long as I live!! I only have to bathe him when he is visibly dirty now which is maybe once a month?? Since using this shampoo he DOES NOT STINK!!! Like, at all!!! I'm just sad it took me 13 years to find....

The shampoo itself was wonderful. It left my dogs coat so soft and smooth. It didn’t have a “loud” scent. I have a Golden Retriever, FYI. It seemed to have helped with shedding as well. I comb my dogs hair almost daily and the last few brushes didn’t have a ton of hair as usual. The only issue I have with this was the bottle came to me cracked at the spout and it leaked all into the plastic bag that was around the shampoo bottle. Hopefully, if I order again, this won’t be the issue.
