Sunrise Sanctuary is home to three lucky miniature horses, along with other rescued farm animals. Lakota (pictured here) and her sister, Strawberry were headed to slaughter, but thankfully a wonderful individual rescued them, along with Strawberry's son, JJ and they are all safe at Sunrise now. The sisters are being trained for therapeutic uses in hospice, hospitals, nursing home and special visitors such as veterans with PTSD.
