Best Fitness Watch I Have Owned
I use the watch mainly to track my heart rate while running and biking every day. The heart rate sensor works very well and I am 100% satisfied with this watch. It connects to my android phone perfectly. The details that it gives you are amazing. The battery really does last 2 weeks. I run every day for about 35 minutes and ride 2 days a week for about 3 hours each time. I use the watch gps for all my exercises and the battery still lasts 2 weeks. I have charged it from 5% to 100% in about an hour. When i first got the watch it took some time to learn how Garmen does things, since im use to samsung watches. But now I can breeze through the menus. I have had the watch for about 3 months. The sleep info is pretty good too. On the days that I am tired I can look back at my sleep pattern for the night before and see how many times I woke up, how much deep sleep I got and light sleep. The heart rate "suffer score" works very well and motivates you to pick up the pace when it falls to low. You can also download routes to follow and the watch will track your best times and alert you as you complete each segment on the route. Its a little pricy but well worth the 455.00. The first picture is the heart rate score while running and the second is a free watch face i downloaded that tracks and shows steps, calories burned and heart rate right on the main screen. One last thing, it helps to track your heart rate if you wear the watch a little above your wrist, like in the pictures.OK. its now nem 9 months and I still wear the watch everyday all day long. I was charging it this morning after the battery went completly dead on me over night. I have been busy with work and havent been using the GPS and I havent charged the watch in 2 weeks. Actually I forgot all about charging it. lol. So I thought I would update my review and give more info. This is truly one of the best exercise waches on the market. Garmen just updated the phone app and it even better and easier to use.

Affordable, lightweight exercise companion
The Garmin Forerunner 735xt is a slim, lightweight watch that works well as an exercise companion. Whether you're running, biking, or swimming, you can count on this watch to give you all the info you need to perform your best. Its GPS is excellent and it has a ton of useful features to help track your workout, such as a heart rate monitor and customizable alerts based on your running pace. I also love that it has physical buttons which saves the hassle of trying to manipulate a touchscreen in the middle of an activity. It's quite handy to know exactly what one or two clicks will do without ever having to stop and fiddle with the watch, and the best part is you can customize it to your liking. Battery life is also excellent, although I haven't done a long enough exercise to ever drain the full battery in one go.I will say as far as drawbacks go, the heart rate monitor isn't always the most reliable. It can take some time to get that initial reading accurately, but it does work well once it gets going. Sleep tracking could also be better, doesn't have a ton of features found on some newer watches.

Fantastic, Rugged, Long Lasting
I’ve been using this watch religiously for 2 years now. I generally wear it all day everyday. I appreciate that it tracks my HR, steps, and sleep. The GPS feature for Running and Biking always loads pretty quickly, usually less than 10 seconds, regardless of my location. I’ve used this watch for pool lap swimming. The watch does an awesome job of keeping count of your laps. I’ve dropped and scraped it plenty of times without it ever giving me issues. I like that this watch is NOT touch screen. The buttons and watch system are easy to understand, follow, and manipulate. The GPS is quick to adjust and read your current speed. You can adjust between mph, kph, mile pace, and km pace. A full charge gets me through a week of regular wear and daily (1-2 hour) activity. Even after 2 years, the device battery life hasn’t diminished. From a depleted battery, it charges fully in less than an hour. As for long single day events, I’d say the battery depletes much faster. I did a 12 hour mountain ruck and the battery was probably about 50% depleted. One issue I had was when using the “multi sport” tracking feature; once you’ve completed your first activity and hit the “lap” button, the device will only show you the length of time passing on subsequent sports as opposed to time and distance. So for my triathlons, after each event, I manually end the “swim” and start a new “bike” event on the watch.Be prepared to purchase extra watch bands. I am on my third set. They are however easily replaceable. They seem to last only for a year at a time.Overall, I am extremely satisfied with this watch and my purchase. If my current watch was to be damaged, I would buy it over again.

Very good multi-sports watch overall with VO2 max indicator
Forerunner 735XT is an affordable multi-sports watch (compared to other ridiculously overpriced garmin watches) with VO2 max indicator. In addition to proprietary charging clip, the recent changes to the app makes this watch unattractive for me; the sleep measurements are rudimentary. Will be looking for another competitive product when this dies.
