I picked this cheese up on a whim while I was at my local supermarket, which proved to be a great find.If you are a fan of high quality cheddar, I can't imagine you won't like this. The flavor is incredibly intense, while the texture is out of this world. When they refer to it as "crunchy" in the description that may sound off-putting, but it's really not. The cheese is infused with these delightful little crystal that give it an incredible mouth feel. That probably seems like a strange way to describe it because it is a difficult to describe product, which is why I highly recommend any cheese connoisseurs out there make a point of finding and trying Red Fox Leicester.As far as price is concerned, I paid 15.49 a pound for a small pre-wrapped chunk, so I suppose buying it through Amazon is a question of how you feel about buying in bulk, as well as whether or not it's sold in your area.On a final note, because this cheese is so flavorful, a little goes a long way. Even the tiniest piece can stand up to any cracker; though, I like it best on its own without any accompaniment. Also, if there's anything you can criticize about Red Fox Leicester, it would be that after eating it, other cheddars really pale in comparison.

I recently had this cheese with a friend who had just returned from visiting her family in the UK. It is one of the most amazing cheeses I have ever tasted. Flavor and texture both are over the top. Can't wait for it to become available in the US. In the meantime, I will probably order it.
