Ah Cillian, Cillian, Cillian you may have broken my heart at points, but it was all worth it in the end.Persephone and Cillian's story is complicated, it's painful, it's dark, but most of all its beautiful. This is a one sitting book, so make sure you can take the time to yourself to block out the rest of the world and just be absorbed by the FEELS. You will not be able to put it down.I don't want to spoil any plot details, other than to say I'm in awe of how the expectation of Cillians 'attraction' to Belle was flipped on it's head in this book. I will admit to being one of the people who pictured Belle for this story following some of the hints in The Hunter. I am so glad I was wrong because Cillian and Persephone are perfection.Thank you LJ Shen for another intense and all consuming read.

Amazing!That’s really what I can say. I really adored the villain. Now I’m looking back to may 2020, when Lj had released the hunter. Persephone and Cillian were very briefly introduced in the world of Boston belles and I’ve been interested in them ever since.Hades and Persephone is one of my favourite Greek mythology retellings. It’s not always the case authors are able to get it right, but shen did an amazing job of creating an amazing story, intertwined with the hades and Persephone plot.Persephone and Cillian are everything I wanted in characters and so much more. Persephone was the sweet and agreeable pre school teacher and I adored her the most. She’s definitely a character I will never forget. In fact, she’s made it to my top 5 favourite female characters of all time. Persephone being the sweet, loveable and very well liked pre school teacher gave her the perfect touch. Cillian and cillians PoV are really what made the book for me: he’s definitely one of Lj’s best male characters she’s written to date, he was funny and very easy to love and appreciate. Shen did a brilliant job at bringing these characters together in a story of love, appreciation and acceptance.The villian was my favourite read of 2020 and I cannot wait to see where shen takes the rest of the books. I love each and everyone of the characters in the Boston belles universe and am super excited to see where the stories go next. Cillian and Persephone are by far the best thing to happen to 2020 and cannot wait to see them again in upcoming books! Definitely a unforgettable 5 star read ill always remember. Highly recommend!

Ce livre est un véritable bijou!!Je ressors de ma lecture comme d'une machine à laver complétement lessivée!! L'auteure ne nous épargne pas!!On suit donc Persephone, l'amie de Sailor, qui tombe sous le charme de Cillian, le grand frère d'Hunter. Ensemble, ils forment un duo explosif qui n'est pas sans rappeler l'histoire entre Hadès et Persephone (les dieux grecs).Ils sont complétement opposés l'un à l'autre, elle est solaire lui ténébreux et pourtant ils se complètent parfaitement.Certains personnages ont une histoire vraiment touchante (en tout cas, cela m'a touché)J'ai hâte d'avoir le troisième tome de cette série!!

Il libro di per sé è molto, molto particolare - bellissimo, crudo, a tratti di una delicatezza poetica, altri completamente feroce. Eppure la storia merita e i personaggi si completano in modo sublime. Cillian poi arriva dritto al cuore...
