Many of these kits are the same. For me what stood out was the multitool,pen, and knife it includes. I saw others about the same price that didn't have the things I was looking for. I am buy once, cry once and life is too short to carry a cheap pocket knife dude and if you are looking for that with any of these kits you aren't going to find one. Unless you want to put one together yourself you just aren't going to find one that has a Benchmade OTF knife and leatherman tool. My purpose for this kit was to keep in my truck under the back seat. For an emergency "you don't need it till you do" situation. For the price it is a bargain IMHO. If I lost it I wouldn't be crying all the way to wells fargo.#1 the first aid kit is ok. I wish it included some neosporin type stuff, but I easily added that and a few extra various bandaids. Remember, for the price it isn't going to come with an Israeli Bandage. If you don't know what that is I can't help you.#2 the wire saws can be useful for more than just cutting tree branches. I found them effective and I am really surprised by them.#3 the firestarter works. If you can't get some dry tinder or kleenex to light up then you won't survive a shtf situation anyway.#4 the paracord bracelet is a big diameter. It actually fit me and I have about 7" wrist when I make my own. The paracord isn't 750 premium off grid stuff, so if you wan't that..well I won't say it again.#5 the flashlight works. It isn't a Fenix so....it still could come in handy.Get a kit, throw it under the seat or in the trunk. When you need it you will have it and not the opposite.

Got this for my car but the knife quickly turned into my every-day knife... probably means I should get another knife for my car though now. I just really like how quickly you can flip the knife out. Much easier than my Swiss army knife (I know this one doesn't have as many tools on the knife... in fact, it's JUST a knife - but I never really used the other tools on the Swiss anyway). Feels like a quality knife too.The little flat tool also went straight into my wallet for carrying around with me :) Perfect fir - credit card-sized... and it's really good at opening beer bottles ;)The other parts are great as well but as I said, they're mainly just for my car as a backup for when I'm out on the road so they probably won't see much use but at least everything feels quality built. I also like that almost every piece in here has a window-breaker. EVEN THE PEN! Nice. Was definitely the right choice for my car.

Pros:knife on folding pliers seams sharp, pliers in general look ok to me. Tactical pen is very pointy,Cannot compare to any other survival kit. Overall I still think the kit is pretty good. I suggest you really take a look at everything you get and figure out how to use it. I also printed the instructions from amazon go get a better idea on how to use each item. For example, if I would not have read on how to use the fire starter, I would never be able to use the tool.If you can, find a kit in a bag not a box! You also might need to add a few things, such as cotton balls and Vaseline to start a fire.Cons:1. it said it come with a raincoat but it didn’t2. The case is sturdy but too heavy to carry around.3. Saber blade instructions are in Chinese ?4. Saw Blade on saber blade is useless, not sharp at all. Bottle opener on saber blade might be too thick.5. Knife seam dull too but I might be able to sharpen it.6. Compass on bracelet is not working7. Flash light needs battery

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  Great kit for the price! Everything was nicely packaged. We tested a couple of items like the flint starter and wire saw, both worked perfectly. The multi-purpose tool is well built and sturdy. The compass points north which is good (I've had some that didn't work in the past). First aid kit had what I would expect to be needed in a basic survival kit. I'll add a few other items but it's a great start. Only downside is the case. It's hard to close and the latches don't appear that they'll hold up very long. Other than that, I definitely think this is a great kit and will come in very handy when needed.

I purchased this kit for my husband for our anniversary. He's always wanted to have our family prepared for anything & given recent events, it's become more pressing on his heart to have survival gear. I knew he'd mentioned a survival kit, but I wanted to surprise him. So I read tons of reviews and decided on this one. He loves it and was totally surprised! He was impressed with the sturdiness of the entire kit. He said the knife is sharp and sturdy. He said it checked all the boxes of everything he needs. It came with everything listed. The only thing I noted was the the poncho was purple. But that's fine, because purple is MY favorite color. ;-) All in all, this was a great buy.

It took me a while to get through all of the things that are in this kit and to get everything back in its place! I’m super impressed with it. It’s got everything you need for any kind of emergency and it really is a must have. The quality of the tools are better than I expected and I really liked it’s got a first aid kit in a blanket included. The firestarter is really neat and can really come in handy. We’re like best is the black knife it’s got Apsley everything on it and the quality is very high-quality. This is a very gifted ball item. I’m going to be ordering these for some people that are close to me and give them as really thoughtful and useful Christmas presents
