About the Author Sierra Riley was born and raised in a small town where she spent all her time reading under trees before she moved to the Bay Area to pursue her own love story. She writes the kinds of books she loves to read: rollercoaster rides with happily-ever-afters. She’s rarely at a loss for ideas, and credits her wonderfully supportive friends with helping her stories actually make it onto the page, as well as her husband and kids for giving her the chance to follow her dreams. When Sierra isn’t busy writing, she enjoys knitting, traveling, listening to the Pet Shop Boys, or just curling up with her dogs and cats and devouring a good book. Read more

MAGNIFICENT STORY
I am completely captivated by this author. I think this story between Jake and Russ was magnificent. I liked the back story of them being in college and staying friends beyond that. I loved that Jake was also great friends with Russ's wife and was there for him and Ryan when she died. This author is quickly becoming one of my go to authors, that is a very exclusive list. I like the approach she takes to her subject relationships and different situations. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK!!!

Always a fan
The title is very accurate considering my feelings for this author. I love her work. I love how she creates situations and tension, but also makes sure you feel good by the end. And she doesn't rush the happy ending.

Fantastic
I loved jake and russ and the whole family (especially little ryan). This is a story of two people falling in love with each other, one coming to terms with his sexuality and a sweet child thrown in the mix. These always make for a good story and this one never failed the mark. Fantastic.

Well...
It was okay. I loved the concept, so the blurb reeled me in. There was a disconnect for me somewhere. I’m thinking it was probably in the dialogue, but I’m not sure.

Russ and Jake
I loved the bond that Russ and Jake have. You could feel the emotions Jake had for Russ, love that had been unspoken and unanswered for years. There is a bit of angsty back and forth due to their long standing friendship and a lack of clear communications, but it isn't over done. Sweet ending.Adult read

A good read
This is a great example of a "best friend" romance & a great "insurance fraud marriage" romance too. Russ & Jake have a well developed friendship. Russ' son is a great character. The development of Russ' awareness of his affection for Jake as he works through mourning his wife is handled well.
