Excellent paints, no comparison. Great in Airbrush!
The media could not be loaded. I purchased these paints for use in a music video which was filmed with UV lights. I had done tests with a number of different UV florescent paints, and in all cases, these Neon Glow paints by Hickoryspring delivered the best application, best florescence (amount of glow from UV light), easiest application, and best removal. We were able to apply the paints using both paint brushes, and they were smooth enough to use in an airbrush. Application speed was key as we had to paint the entire body of our actor, and these paints made it possible to get our job done quickly and with excellent results. They dry fast enough to not smudge or drip, but also with enough time to fix any mistakes that may have been made while painting. If you apply the paint thick, it will crack after many hours of continuous movement, for our purposes this was desired, and added an extra awesome effect. When removing the paints from the body, only light scrubbing is required, soap isn't required, but can be helpful to speed up removal process. Also cleans up great from other surfaces from spills etc. I was so thrilled with the quality of the paints, I sent the music video to the company, and they offered to give me more paints to use in my next music video. I'm thrilled because their quality is the best I've found, and I've looked at a ton of different suppliers. To see the finished results, watch the video attached to the review to see the paints in action.

I can't be more satisfied
I've never purchased other UV glow paints before so I can't really compare it to others except for that old green glow in the dark face paint. I can't imagine how any paint could glow any brighter though. It looked awesome! One other great thing about it is that you can see it just fine without the UV light (needs UV lightning to glow). I liked the way the colors popped both with and without UV lightning and I loved how it didn't affect my daughters sensitive skin. It washed off easily without using special makeup wipes or something like that-- soap and water-- came right off. I don't regret paying a little extra for this one because I would have hated to have been disappointed with a cheap set. I bought this based on reviews and dime people were saying the paint on various other brands didn't glow at all even under UV or just very slightly. I will say this too, I bought some UV glow paint at Michaels that I didn't use and put the bottle up to the UV light and it didn't glow anywhere near as bright as this one, although it might have glown brighter when applied-- still this one glowed brightly through the bottle.

Brilliant in blacklight or room light! Worth the price!
I tried this and MUCH cheaper acrylic paints on my hands as a test, and while they both glowed like the sun, the absolute ease with which this item washed off with water alone made it very much worth it. Had 30 teenage kids use it as face paint, giving each kid six quarter-sized pools (one of each color) on a paper plate, and still had leftovers. This was MORE than enough for them to decorate their faces (and some hands) with plenty to spare. The colors were brilliant in room light but were DAZZLING in black light. Got the American DJ 4' blacklight two-pack and lit up a whole 40' by 40' meeting hall. With those lights and this neon body paint, the kids were aglow anywhere in the room. On a fun-per-kid and fun-per-party basis, these paints are well worth the price!

the paints look great in the bottles
bought these body/face paints because of the photos and the reviews. the paints look great in the bottles, the first thing you notice is that there is very little difference between the red and the pink under the blacklight -- both a red color. this is not a problem because you can add a little blue to the pink on your body or mix in a dish and get a true shade of pink, adding more blue gets you many shades of pink, magenta and hot purple !! what fun!! if you mix the blue with the red you get a more sunset/coral shade up to a dark purple. there is enough paint here to experiment in this way-these paints work great on tee shirts too. ok so I tried mixing the blue and green and got great shades of teal, aqua and denim . it was so much fun. ok things are cookin' now so I try globbing on the paints as opposed to spreading them on thinly, letting them dry then adding a second coat. next thing you notice is that the green and yellow are very similar just a shade or two apart--I haven't found a solution to making the green greener except by adding blue to it. now I notice it doesn't take forever to dry especially the thin coats-great--toddlers and young kids will get squirmy--put them in front of a fan problem solved. ok here's the only problem . to really test it I moved around and rubbed on the paint after a while it starts to crack and flake. this is most noticeable with the globbed on thick coats the flakes make kind of stars on the unpainted skin which is pretty. the thinner coats fare better but not by much. the double coats never look as striking as the globbed on coats so there's the rub [,pun intended] I had these paints on for hours and looked at them closely with a blacklight flashlight .the mixed paints were not as vibrant as the straight ones. I docked the star for the flaking and cracking-another set i'm reviewing has white[light blue] and purple [hot pink/ magenta] in the set and it also cracks & flakes . I don't have a big blacklight right now, so i'm gonna guess that they look just as good if not better @ a glow party or nightclub and i'm gonna also suppose that all the paints will eventually crack and flake. these paints wash off skin very easily w/ water or soap and water so i'm going to also suppose that they will wash out of clothes too. these paints are a very good bargain-you get a lot of paint compared to some sets you only get 1/3 of an oz each and some don't even state the oz so it's a surprise when it arrives. i'll keep looking for a five star & review some other glowing stuff too.

Ok, but very runny
I was doing a black light shoot and decided to try these out. I was very under whelmed by the quality of the paint. It is very runny and if you want a solid look, be prepared to put 2-3 coats on your subject. Also, the pigments did not show their color accurately under a black light. I had three that looked shades of yellow, and two that just looked orange. These also shed like crazy, so be prepared to wash any fabric under your model.
