Trouble holding air(Updated)
I received my Trekology pillow today and found that it has a slow leak. I inflated the pillow as instructed (not overly full), and after an hour of being inflated I was able to notice the pillow was slowly losing air. After another hour the pillow was deflated so much that it would have been useless. I really like the feel of the material, size and weight of this pillow, but was disappointed that it was losing air to a point where I would have to re-inflate a few times throughout the night. I have emailed the company about this issue and will hopefully have a reply and replacement soon.Update: I received an email back from the owner of the company not long after I contacted them. He was very friendly and professional. Not only did he apologize for the malfunction of my original pillow, but he sent me two replacement pillows. I judge a company by how well their products are, but also the way they treat their customers. This company has gained a customer for life. My new pillows both are functioning perfect. Like I mentioned with the first pillow, the feel and comfort of these pillows are excellent. Quality at an affordable cost. Thanks Sherman and Trekology.

I've never been excited about a pillow...
...but I am after receiving these pillows.Value: As someone that's gotten along with backpacking/camping for 20+ years in CO and MO without needing a pillow, I'm in no hurry to drop $30-40 on other good quality, compact pillows. I'd rather spend that money on something else. But when I saw all the great reviews for this version at a great price I thought it would be worth the splurge. For what you get, it can't be bet.Design: I ordered the 'new design' version which seems a bit more ergonomic compared to the original so I'm happy with the choice. It was only a buck more so it seemed worth the upgrade. The pillow seems like a good size. Small enough that you could probably wedge it into your hood of your bag to keep it in place, while big enough that you could also use it outside of your bag without it squirting out from under you all through the night. I like the sides too that help cradle your head and keep it from sliding off while in your (typically) slippery sleeping bag. The material is soft to the touch, feels comfy if you would need to use the pillow without anything between it and your skin, but it also doesn't feel too slick.Durability: I'll have to update you on this once I've use it for a while, however it's not the type of thing that could be used to sit on or abused. I won't be using it for anything other than as a pillow for sleeping/resting so I don't see any issues with this. It probably saves some ounces that way.Valve: It has a dual valve built into it that allows you to inflate or deflate very easily. Pull both valves out for deflate, pull the first valve out (one way valve) to fill. I did notice that in cold weather that the valve gets stiff (like most plastic). I'm not worried about it, but I was more careful with pulling the valves out when they were cold to avoid breaking something. It seems like the right level of malleable and strength. Not really something that you'll be opening and closing repeatedly that would cause excess wear, but worth mentioning. I'll admit that getting the deflate valve out is not as easy as I'd like and it might loosen up after I use it more, but it's definitely not coming loose when you are sleep. (Picture of valve attached- Closed, Open inflate, Open deflate)Stuff sack: Comes with a little stuff sack for it. Not much to say about it, but it's appreciated. (Pic included with banana for scale)I'll update this review once I've had a chance to use on my next backpacking trip.Update 2/27/17: Just used this for some winter camping for 3 nights and it worked very well. Easy to add more air (as air cooled it compressed a bit) and pillow stayed put between my slick mummy bag hood material and sleeping pad (I was worried it would squirt out all through the night).Overall, I'm still pleased, but I will point out the release valve is a pain to get open in cooler (not even cold) weather as I suspected when I initially wrote the review. It took a multi-tool to pry the plug out (5th image) because I felt like I was going to tear the fabric away from the plug and ruin the pillow if I applied more pressure. It's a frustration, especially since there are valves out there that don't have this issue and are easy to operate. Dropped a star due to that.

Perfect comfort and excellent customer service.
I bought this for my frequent travels. After my first trip (6 nights) I intended to give this a 5 star rating. Loved the comfort and how easily it fit in my luggage. It was easy to use and to fold back away when needed. I did use a pillow cover with it. A few days into my second (week long) trip the pillow stopped holding air so that I had to blow it up again in the middle of the night. I looked all over it to see if there was some damage, but could find no visible damage. I think the slow leak is coming from the valve. I love so much about this pillow but because it did not stand up to frequent travel and use I gave it a 2 rating. The seller was very responsive and immediately replaced the pillow. The second pillow is wonderful, holding air well, super comfortable and portable to boot. Couldn't ask for more!I am pleased to say that the seller was very quick to respond to my issues and is sending me a replacement pillow. After I receive it, I will try the new one out for a couple weeks then amend my rating accordingly.

Great quality, but I wasn't smitten
Bought this on a whim after reading all the rave reviews. I go backpacking and camping a couple of times a year so thought I'd give it a try. Normally I just sleep on a makeshift pillow (aka pile of my clothes) so I expected this would be quite the upgrade. I really wanted to love it, but it just didn't work for me. I have it the good old college try on a three night camping trip. I like being able to throw my arm under my pillow (or pile) and that just doesn't work with this thing (even if I let out some of the air). Would probably be better for someone who just likes to sleep on their back, because the support was great.PROS- Crams into a super tiny stuff sack- Inflates easy (5 big breaths and it's full)- Inflate valve has a button that prevents air from escaping as you're trying to inflate- Super supportive, comfortable to lie on. Nice sizeCONS- Too stiff if you want to sleep with your arm underneath or somehow cuddle it
