Red Maranta Prayer - 4'' from California Tropicals

I had ordered this plant before and it arrived a little wilted. It came out of it and grew very fast. I decided to get another but this time the plant arrived with about 7 leaves and 5 of them were dead. It was in bad shape. I contacted the seller and within a few days I received a healthy plant in great shape. The company made it hassle free and easy to contact. Packaging was really great and sturdy. This plant is entertaining to watch. The leaves go up at night and look like they're praying. During the day, the leaves lay flat. It is a gorgeous plant and easy to grow. Apparently that is a sign that your plant is healthy and thriving, so I couldn’t be more happy. If you’re ordering plants online, order from these guys. They pack them very well and arrive well-rooted and healthy.

Came in pretty good condition! It was actually three small plants in one pot- 1 rooted very well and 2 that weren’t as strongly rooted. I’ve had to be careful not to underwater or burn leaves

Hello The plant came looking fantastic, healthy, and well wrapped. I have many plants pre-bonsais mostly, along with some succulents. The bonsais are in humidity-controlled cabinets. I have learned that quarantining plants on arrival is a crucial step to maintaining your sanity. At first, I thought the visitors on this plant were aphids a formidable foe but can be beaten. These however were mealybugs, which ups the ante on ridding them from the plant. This is $16.50 that has been donated to live and learn. A plant can only go under so much insect eradication before it crawls into a dark space and gives up. Mealybugs can hide in soil I don't know if that is where this nurseries issue is or it is because the pandemic has them understaffed that they can't monitor all. This is written not to thrash the owners of the nursery, but to warn plant owners of something that could turn into a nightmare in your house.
