no bad pieces or failures in 6 years
Serious Ties - Extra Heavy Duty Cable Ties (50, 24 Inch/175Lbs/Natural): I've used these ties in a variety of settings for my ham radio hobby; some long term and some for a weekend only. Many involve prolonged exposure to 100+ degree direct sunlight or years of being inside a vehicle. Over the course of 6 years, none have failed, not even the ones that've been used the entire time.

Just what I wanted in a cable tie
I've always said...I can fix anything with duct tape or a cable tie...lol. These cable ties are what you want if you want something that will last. The cable ties I've bought from Home Depot etc. in the various sizes just don't measure up to certain usage. Light weight stuff...ok...heavy duty...no way.Amazon sells everything so I looked and found these. Glad I did. These are what we used outside in construction in various applications.I basically bought these so I could stop a spinning recliner from being able to spin. The recliner has a round metal type base but when turned you could place 4 cable ties to keep it from being able to spin. The Home Depot ties (largest ones in package) lasted about a month. I put these on and I can tell right away...these aren't going to break anytime soon. I bought black and white ones and will be using them for many other things.

Very strong
I used these in a project where they are under a great deal of tension. I tightened them by rolling the strip around needle nose pliers and twisting against the housing as hard as I could. This is not a best practice ;-) but it is the way to get zip ties as tight as possible. I had only about one out of ten fail with that kind of abuse. A regular zip tie would never take it. Initially for this project I used three regular zip ties. It was both easier and stronger to replace them with one of these. They are very wide and thick. It is possible to get them through a quarter inch hole, but it's not easy.

Use them to tie down outdoor items in hurricanes
I have two large Waste Management garbage/recycle containers. Right now I'm preparing for Hurricane Dorian. I use these ties to secure the containers to my chain link fenced since I have no interior storage space. They worked when Hurricane Irma hit two years ago and I have no doubt that they will work just fine when Dorian pays us a visit, too.

We love these ties
We love these ties! We use them for our PVC fence to affix chicken wire so our dog won't get out of our yard and these are the best for the job. The price is outstanding and the length is exactly what we need to be able to tightly fasten the chicken wire and then trim off the excess! I've already ordered a 2nd set because we went through the first ones already and I wanted to keep some on hand for back up!

I liked the product
I liked the product, but my dogs still destroyed it when it was within their reach. it did work for attaching a gate to my banister as long as the dogs could not get their mouths on it. The dogs are west highland white terriers.

We have the terrible white plastic fencing with chicken wire to keep the dogs in. We decided to give these zip ties a try rather than the normal small ones, because we had to keep replacing them. They have worked amazing so far over the last couple of months. Will provide another update once they decide to give way to see how long they last in weather conditions.thanks!

Mediocre ties, flimsy, and break easily.
Most 12" ties are stronger than these "Extra Heavy Duty" cable ties. These will not support 175lb in any productive application. I weigh 160lb and they cannot support my weight. Not even close. They do work as zip ties, but they're too flimsy for any Heavy Duty applications.
