I was hooked from the first page
I loved this book. It did one of the few things short romances succeed in doing: It showed me why two people might love each other, instead of just telling me.The idea of a soldier as a heroine was wonderful. I bought into the idea of what drove her to make the choices she has. I could see why she was drawn initially to the charming prince. But the story expanded from there to see them coming to know each other somewhere other than the bedroom. Make no mistake: This is a steamy story. Two of my favorite scenes, though, are two of the tamest ever printed in one of these stories. And they seem wonderfully authentic. The hero is a nice guy trying to do the rigt thing. Their relationship and how they approached it made sense. And we got to meet just enough of the icy older brother that I can't wait until the next book. I am already invested.

Sweet story
I really enjoyed this book. Stella Zambrano was a Army lieutenant. She always worked hard, and followed the rules in hopes to make her dad proud. Her dad was a General. Stella's mom died shortly after Stella was born. With her dad being a General, he was all military. He didn't show emotions, and never said things like "I Love you".One afternoon on a private beach, Stella broke the rules. For the first time in her life, she felt free. She had a steamy encounter with Prince Eduardo De Santis. That one afternoon changed her life forever.I loved the banter between Eduardo, and Stella. The two played board games together, and just enjoyed each other's company. The two had to learn to trust one another, and to communicate. The story was a beautiful journey of two people falling in love.

This book was great and the ending wasnt rushed
I read the review of the person who gave this book 1% and I shall never read another review of that person again. This book was great and the ending wasnt rushed. Yes the heroine was we. But for once It fit with who the hero was. The writer got everything right they were well suited and we got to feel and see how they loved each other than just reading it. Well done well done

The Secret That Shocked Dr Santis
This was a different take of royalty and the military love story. Here the h was in the military and the Prince was a rouge. But after a afternoon on the beach she was left with no career and very pregnant. What will the Prince do? What about her father the General? His brother Prince Regent?

Love, love, love
I really, really loved this book! In fact, I read it twice. Great story line, amazing characters and a heartwarming love story. It's one of those books that you keep coming back too and read it all over again.

Strength and vulnerability in love
This book is well written and it's able to show how vulnerability can affect us when falling in love and the strength that can come from loving the right one.

Very well done
Just the right amount of everything- love, passion, angst, and happy ever after. Will be reading this more than once.

Another weak heroine
I know...it's a Harlequin romance, what did I expect? I stopped reading at 42% through because the heroine of the story literally made me sick, made me through my hands up in the air and say WTF.Page after page of her resolving to be strong, do what's best-she tries to stand up to the Prince-but then being so utterly captivated by the prince that she turns in a weak character that you can't help but despise. After having a distant jackass father you think there would be more spine to her, more independence...there was not.I know romance about alpha males is about having strong male leads, however, time and time again, romance authors write women who just easily capitulate to their male counterparts. Where are the strong women leads? The ones who don't let themselves be run roughshod over? Having lots of sex doesn't make you a strong woman and being a virgin doesn't make you a naive. Would really love to see some strong normal characters instead of the caricatures that are presented.
