The product works very well when walking on ice, no slipping, sliding, or falling down. I ordered the LG/X and the grips fit my size 11 insulated boots quite well. I ordered the product with the straps because I did not want the grips to come loose. The straps were to short to fit around an insulated boot. They would work if the length was about 2 to 3 inches longer.

DO NOT BUY. This is a horrible product. Delivered January 29, 2020 and by March 3, 2020 it broke. Tried to return, but that window closed February 28...just in time for it to prove itself a piece of junk. I was forced to give at least 1 Star, but I tried to give it 0 Stars.

With our winters becoming more ice than snow due to climate change I have tried multiple ice traction iterations over the last few years. These are easy to put on and if you purchase with the strap are sure to stay on. The spikes grab any slick surface very well and make walking easy. The spikes and the rubber do seem to also be holding up better than most others I have tried. One word of caution, if walking in fresh snow on top of ice keep in mind that they will eventually become snow packed and the spikes will not be able to dig into the ice. I found out the hard way. Just be sure to kick the packed snow off every once in awhile or be extra careful walking. No big deal as this would be true of any similar device. I did order a second pair just to have on hand for when the spikes do eventually wear down. if you live in an icy climate and walk a lot these are a must, especially for older folks like me.

Reading the reviews I followed the advice and ordered theems large so it would fit my ladies hiking boot size 8.5 US. They worked great on ice and snow. But the loop that the strap that goes through is pretty thin and stretchy. It will probably break over time if used over real hiking boots. If used for regular fashion boot or shoe it will be fine.

These are a great product for use on standard hiking boots BUT are too tight to fit size 11-12 heavy rubber knee high boots.

only worn these three times so far in snow and ice but really like them. they stay on my boots! even without the straps that came with them they held on and never slipped off at all. I really like the wide heavy rubber construction! lots of extra long spikes dig into the ice. I walk icy roads and trails about four miles each trip out. hope the rubber lasts a long time as that is always the weak link.

I have completed about 8 miles of hiking in old snowed trails that you no longer need snow shoes but need ice cleats for sure footing. ICETRAX V3 Tungsten Ice Cleats with Velcro Strap are awesome! I have used them on two different shoes one being Snow boots like Sorels and regular hiking boots like Keen. The cleats rubber did not stretch out around from my snow boots when i wore them on my hiking boots. I wear a size 9-10 depending on the shoe maker. I purchased the 10-13 size and the fit was perfect. They don't move around on your feet and I don't feel the spikes coming through my shoe. My whole family has them now!!! LOL and I will buy them again when needed...

works really well on icy slippery surfaces. Able to walk without fear of falling. Only used 3 times but work better than a couple other styles I have used in past. The heel pad seems to slightly reposition itself when snow gets stuck between boot and cleats. Am using the straps for additional tightness. Noisy on dry surfaces.

We were hiking in Kananaski Country, Alberta a week ago (Nov 23 2020). They had superb traction on the ice, as well as the snow pack in some of the areas we encountered. On trails through the trees, it was soft dirt and pine needles, which we had to climb up a small but steep hill and they gripped really well in the dirt. I didn't have walking poles with me, so appreciated this extra grip. They were very easy to put on and take off. I had tried other styles that kept falling off my winter hiking boots, so I eventually just removed them. These ones went over my boots easily and stayed on. They also have a velcro strap to ensure they don't slip off, but I didn't need it. They also fit over my regular Spring/Summer hiking shoes nicely too. I wear a ladies size 7 - 7.5 and purchased a size Medium. My husband wears a size 10 - 10.5 shoe and we bought him a size Large. They worked perfect for him too. They are made of titanium. I learned the hard way ... don't set them on your granite counter ... the slightest and lightest movement will scratch the surface. I put a 1 inch scratch on my counter and all I did was set them down gently. I will not even let them touch my tile floors! Set on a towel, carpet or something fabric. Mine came with a little black fabric carrying bag. My husband did not receive a bag with his. ???

We haven’t had a chance to try them out yet, although winter comes early in Alberta I’m sure we will be wearing them a lot.We did put them on our boots and I will say I don’t think they will fall off plus I feel the spikes are in the right place on the grips.We have had other brands and had to continually Re install them from coming off.

I bought these for my father in law and the first time he used them they broke. The right side of the front strap separated into 2 pieces and the other one has already started to separate.Amazon should not be carrying this product.

This might rank in the top five best things I ever purchased. I have very large rubber winter boots size 10 and a half and these fit perfectly. I wear them every single day as I live in Canada. I think they've saved my life multiple times in the last 2 months. I'm extremely happy with this purchase, if they ever rip or fail on me I'm immediately reordering. I take them off and put them on every day and they are standing up to some abuse.

Have a large dog that I walk daily, no matter what the weather. These are solid, definitely stay on your boots, without shifting out of position, and 10/10 for walking on ice. Always found that the studs on the bottom don't wear down as quickly as they have in the past with other ice cleats, when walking on dry pavement. Very good quality, rubber is thick and durable. Will buy again!
