It does peel off. My face actually felt better before the mask than afterwards. Afterwards your skin feels roughed up and unclean. So I did the eminence strawberry scrub right after since it’s so light. The menthol was mild and it only tingled for a minute but not 2 minutes. No odor. Pathos purchase has been the most disappointing in a while.

Deep cleaning

This product is totally FIRE & ICE! Let me start off by saying: please do not apply it to the area under your eyes when you start. You should start on your forehead and everywhere else, because the sensation of that menthol and cooling effect can make your eyes water and feel like it’s burning a little bit.The product is actually quite sticky so if you apply with your fingers do it fast otherwise it sticks to your fingers instead of your face. To get a good enough easy peeling you do have to put a thick amount to make it look metallic grey - as an example, that thin layer in my photo, that’s not enough, otherwise, it is hard to feel off because it is too thin. When you have put enough then waited the 20 minutes, you will feel it starts drying on your face and it’s as if you cannot move your face at all - is that what Botox feels like? Haha. Anyhow, I found that you can try wrinkling your face to get it to peel off easier. So, the peeling process is actually very easy and it doesn’t hurt as much as you would expect, similarly to the peeling effect of those blackhead removal nose strips.FYI - if you left any product on your sink, wash it off right away because it can be sticky to it and make it difficult to clean.As for the verdict - After trying it twice already (there’s not much product left in tube), I don’t think it works as well to get out all the impurities on my face. I felt no redness or sensitive spots, but my pores still seem clogged in all areas. And with this price tag, I’d probably pass since it’s not so effective.

The directions say to apply an "opaque" layer of the product to clean and dry skin. That is not a thin layer, and this tube holds only 2.8 ounces of product. So, my observation is that I will not get many applications from this tube.It is a pearlescent dark gray color, as you can see in the third picture down. So that helps you interpret the words "Mermaid-like holographic effect".It has more than a cooling effect--it is downright cold. Yes, it is refreshing, and the refreshing effect lasts after removal of the mask. It leaves my face soft, and even raises up some white heads that you didn't even know were there.I have two issues with this mask:--The cooling feeling and fragrance is so intense that it makes my nose run. A runny nose and a very sticky wet mask are not at all compatible.--It is a good thing the mask usually dries within 20 minutes, and no longer. Trying to remove the mask while it is wet is not at all easy.

I recommend applying this with a silicone brush if you really want to do this. There is menthol in this mask which really is horrible for sensitive skin. It will burn at first and then you will feel the sensation of cooling which doesn't really last that long. This feels like using a pore-clearing strip on your nose. It will effectively remove everything that might be on your face including some skin. This is alcohol, essential oil, and fragrance-free. It would be 5 stars if the menthol was left off the ingredient list. I do have to admit that it looks really cool when it is dry with a chromatic metallic look. It did peel off easily but you really have to use a lot of product for that to work. It is really expensive as well.How to UseApply an opaque, even layer to clean, dry skin. Avoid the eye area by applying below the orbital bone. Do not apply to eyebrows, hairline, or lips. Leave on for 20 minutes or until completely dry. Gently peel off mask from outer edges.
