Cool Game
That's a really cool games for HP fans as well as board games fans as it is not a type of game for young children. The game mechanics consists on strategizing and planning your moves in advance. You a boardgame geek that has about 300 games already, that was a nice one to add to my collection ;)

Quality
I always like to read the reviews for games before purchasing them especially when they contain a hefty price tag. This one was $50 when I purchased it for my 11 year old son. Here are my opinions.1. The game came quickly and it was an excellent shape.2. It took about half an hour to set the game and another half an hour to go through the rules. I usually do these things in advance and just keep the rule book nearby.3. It took one or two rounds before we actually got the hang of the game, but it's not difficult to learn if you're willing to stumble through a round or two.4. There is definitely some strategy as you learn spells and then complete tasks to earn gems for your house.5. I did not like that the player pieces did not have the players names on them, only their pictures. This is fine if you're a huge Harry Potter fan, but if you don't know each character's name, there's not a diagram to show you who is who. I knew all the Gryffindor characters and one or two from the other houses, but not all. I just guessed who was who. My 9-year-old daughter was not having the whole name thing, as she is not a Harry Potter fan. I replaced her three disc pictures with three of the cardboard cutout circles that were trash from first game set up and just labeled them as 1, 2 and 3, corresponding with the first, second, and third players in the house. This seemed to work just fine.6. This game takes a decent sized surface. There are multiple components and the board is large. This is not a complaint, just an observation for those who might be playing in a more confined setting.7. We all really enjoyed the game & has been added to our game rotation. Definitely has replay value.

Great game!
This is a really good game - well constructed components (and many of them). For the price, whether or not you are interested in Harry Potter, this is a well though out game mechanism. The components are well made, colourful, and many. All in all, a really good quality game.
